I know, maybe I should give up my hopes of being Kafkas' butler.
Seriously though I would love to play in the euros, and just because I am realistic about my chances does not mean (I do not think) that I should not try.

@ gabes -- are you bored? sick of it?
-
• #204
i was a little bored of the arguments for/against going around in circles, yes. as with many of these discussions, like all the euros stuff last year, it tends to go nowhere without a vote.
@roxy, yes, I am just the reporter to GVA, I'm also administering the forum, and have moved the LPC over to make it more noticeable/accessible. I am happy to setup polls, votes etc on how/when/who can qualify, I am not going to make any executive decisions, it's not my place, everything I say is really just my opinion. I want everyone to feel that they had their say, and a chance to vote.
Now, everyone, go vote here, it's the first step, next we'll vote on the selection process and dates.

Given that the Euros are a high standard, high pressure two day knock-out tournament, the most appropriate way to choose the teams (if we do want to choose 4 London teams to do well) would be a high-pressure, high-standard one or two day knock-out tournament.
totally agree

Just for clarity, 5 or 6 people messaged me or expressed interested in the place I registered as a hypothetical team. Wayne added himself after telling me he couldn't travel to European tournaments this summer which has confused me. The lineup is totally up in the air as far as I'm concerned.
The reason I added myself to the team list was that I couldn't play a euro game that clashed with the Paris Roubaix event, this doesn't seem to clash with that so I was up for it,
ho-hum…

....the idea of having a team play their games BEFORE the rest of the teams (knowing results of other games can lead to stitch-ups between teams).
what do you mean?

everyone who wants to play in the quallys should make their day/2days free. Deal with it.
+1
If you cant commit remove your name from the list and lay off a bit of slack for other teams that are committed. Whatever the final decision is i'm gonna try my hardest to be there.

boy, that geneva tourney is gonna be hella tough. would love it if a london team can bring back the bacon. finding a system of who shall go is no easy task. but wouldn't it be that stupid if london doesn't send its best team cos of the tricky logistics/polotics this side?
is there anyone reading this comment that doesn't know to which team i am referring?
Well now I feel bad about registering interest..
