I find it funny that the Victoria Police are so keen to bully and fine people for the most minor of infringements, yet a murdering socio-path like Chopper is a national icon! Oh and don't get me started on hook turns, the scariest manoeuvre that can be carried out legally at the wheel of a car.

Victoria Police in dick move non-shocker.
Although, to be fair, actually listening to the officer in the video he did say they were targeting both cyclists and those who endangered them. What they're actually doing is a different matter of course.

Thats got to be better than cycling tamaki drive in auckland. It is possibly one of the nicest city roads in the world but due to the amount of cyclist, amount of comuters, the amaount of tourists there are acidents very frequently. The drivers hate the cycists to the point that I am driven and swerved at on a regular basis. People are also compleatly unaware of bikes (or cars) with opening there doors. Add all this to the visouse gusting side winds and it makes for interesting riding.
At some point in the near future I am planing on coming over to Melbourn with the bike. See you there Tony (unless you fancy a trip across the tasman where you will be more than welcome!)

Thought that some of you UK based Aussies may like to know that Cat Empire are playing the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 20th October. Tickets are on sale now.
I ride that road daily. The bike lane is right in the door zone
