    1. If you are representing a business pls be professional!

    Oops

  • Oh dear

  • I've resisted posting, but I can't help but chuck in my 5p...

    1. There's nothing wrong with making money by marking products up,

    2. If ppl really want value for money they can always hunt around,

Fair points, but this is a discussion on a bike forum where people are interested in bikes and are making fair comments about these particular bikes.

People who are not interested in bikes can blindly by one of these and be happy with it. And as you say, nothing wrong with that.

  • Ahhh, the memories. How've you been Hacked old chap?

Keeping out of it until now

  • Ed posts the PM up and then decides that to all intents and purposes my son needs to be included

"*He must be Adam MacPherson, who know everything there is to singlespeed bicycles and nothing else. "
    *

Because you sound like a schoolboy behaving all annoyed that school wasn't cancelled tomorrow, hence my suspicion.

  • Give it a rest Edward Scoble

Do you polish turds for a living?

  • Nah, he rolls them in glitter...

  • Just tell us why your bikes aren't shit and we can end this before
    someone gets banned.

  • Why should he? Are we the bicycle police?

  • .

  • Give it a rest Edward Scoble
Is that his real name? Never would have guessed...

  • So you met Harry then?

Moving on, frankly I don't think BLB is as bad as people make it out to be.

Its not nice when people pass false, ill founded and wholly inaccurate comment about you is it Ed? ;)

  • Joke mate, it's a joke, last time I saw him he does look like he belong in a rock band.

now that you mentioned it, I'll put a wink next to it to incidate it as a joke.

  • Me too... now, let's all hug, sit down, have a nice piece of cake and pretend to be friends or something x ;)

  • You put a wink after I edit my comment, touche!

  • Why should he? Are we the bicycle police?

Hell yeah - its a tough job, but there's no on more qualified to give unqualified advice than us lot.

Ha ha +1 to both of you

  • Hacked: as I say I wasn't interested in this thread until you had a pop at Ed's appearance. I read the thread earlier on and thought, oh, the usual forum bike chatter. But saying you laughed at Ed's picture just sounded juvenile to me. And counter-productive. And misguided; go to any forum drinks and you'll soon realise that Ed is virtually the Brad Pitt of LFGSS.
But equally I have to say I think Ed was wrong to post something from a Private Message without your permission. Unless the PM is threatening or racist or generally well beyond the pale then it's not on as far as I am concerned. And, Hacked, I haven't forgotten that you went out of your way to help me when I was selling some non-cycling stuff on here; I think I posted in your defence in relation to that last time.
So that's all really. The forum does tend towards a Manichean view of bikes and everything related to bikes at times and for that reason I tend to avoid discussing them.

  • i'm glad i got wasted tonight and seemed to have avoided all this shit

anyone got a light ANYONE GOT A LIGHT?!

    /face/off

    srsly...i'm fucking gagging here..

  • Hello everyone following this thread.

This is Dani from Foffa Bikes and I just wanted to answer some of the comments that have been said.

    {...]

    Dani Foffa

To be fair, Danni always seemed nice and takes the criticism on the chin, which is a good trait. I bought the bike in early 2007, so maybe things have changed, as he said.

This hacked2 bloke on the other hand isn't helping.

  • Hacked: Pardon me if I have misunderstood, but I was under the impression that the whole point of subscribing to a forum was to contribute.

  • The very same cranksets Foffa Bikes uses are on sale HERE at 13.50 of Your Queens Dorrahs a pop.

  • Btw, loving the tags :D

I haven't seen steel cranks since I was messing around with them in the 70's as a kid!
Mine were proper and had cotter pins and everything though.

  • Why should he? Are we the bicycle police?

Why should he? Why wouldn't you defend your job when it's being ripped
to shreds on the Internet and potentially jepodising his company?
I just saw this thread getting out of hand and turning nasty. Dani was a big
man by coming on here and answering our comments in a polite
and professional manner. I think that made a lot of people respect
him more. This bloke has just replied by slagging people off instead of
addressing the issue. I was just trying to get this out the playground, not
    behave like bike police.
