  • Chuck a

    and a

....and you've got the perfect commuter.

    Perfection is reached by removing.

  • The mirrors are so annoying....

  • Remove them...

  • Looks good! Clean.

  • Needs a Givi

You can get ones to colour match:

    ;)

  • Ooh. The aerostitch looks good, but why the orthopedic soles?

  • Soul - M10? Naughty! Frankly they look offensive, which is entirely appropriate given the mooted character of the bike. I can confirm, 1000cc, flat bar, naked bikes are the way forward....

Marco. Junk 'em. A dear mate of mine once said he didn't need mirrors as he was always travelling faster than anyone behind him. More practically, I've never had a sportsbike with a set of mirrors worth a damn.

  • Hugo - loving the Stylmartin re-issues. That's a boot classic right there.

  • It's the baby 9 in that photo. They've done as ktm and made their 'little' bikes looks like the big daddy version. Smart move.

  • Without mirrors then I can't see if I have any sortish of authority on my beyond.

  • Picking up the new bike on Saturday...

Still trying to find a third party, fire & theft policy that comes in under £2k. Fuck.

  • Tried bemoto?

I ended up with a good policy from Carole Nash. It's just pot luck, got to try everyone!

  • It's actually the 2017 MT-09... they look a lot like the 10.

Still, 900cc triple should be plenty of fun :)

  • Seems high. Is that based on or accounting for a claim you made?

  • Yes. Based on the claim i made.

@skinny Bemoto came in just under £2k. I think that might be the lowest we can go...

  • Didn't the second incident cancel out the initial claim?

I was just about to suggest black box/telematics but it appears that isn't available for motorcycles.

  • Insurance companies can GITFS

  • This is just with the theft claim.

  • Jeez man, that's insane. I couldn't afford or justify paying that much. Sucks.

I paid £600 to go fully comp on my KTM and that made me wince. I had it TPFT in the first year, ad full comp was £1500 and I refused to pay that. But at £600 I'm prepared to hedge the risk.

  • MCE - who I was with at the time of the theft:

    Tpft - £3,500
    Comp - £2,900

  • how much is the bike? can you ride a cheap banger for a bit to build up some NCB?

  • ^ this. Perhaps try looking at quotes on some differnt bikes...

  • It's been bought... Picking up in Saturday.

Probably should have thought about it earlier...

  • Worth looking to see about insurance?

Surely you bought over the phone or online? Distance selling regs mean you can cancel the purchase.

  • I have a fixer upper cbf125 begging for a new home!
Hasn't been started in 18 months, slight crash damage but I have the new indicators to be fitted.
200+ miles for a tenner of petrol.
