  • If it is flooded take a spark plug out and heat it right up with a fag lighter, then put it back. The bike should start first go.

  • Cool will give that a go, I looked up the gap for the spark plug last night the thing I found said .8 which was at the haynes manual i just found says .6/.7 so going to pull it out clean re set the gap and give that another go as well

  • I'm enjoying tinkering vicariously through you. Hope you sort it soon.

Something CoppiThat can wear on our next European adventure.

  • VROOOM VROOOM
it's running, lil rough but running.
If I knock the choke off all the way I sounds like it's gasping for air and cuts out is the only issue right now. If I have it on a fraction it idels nicely now for a cheeky ride around the block.

  • Sounds like oil getting in the combustion chamber
give the carbs a good clean

  • Will do, That will be a saturday job I think.

only if i'm room sharing with you babes. kuba or markyboy wouldnt appreciate the effort gone into, even though markyboys dearest calls me adonis.

well done scrapper, have the battery as well if you have time.

  • thanks for the suggestions all.
Took it for a few runs up and down the road (need to take it in for MOT and tax tomorrow)
It was choking abit at times but otherwise runing really nice and super fun to ride.
Carb clean will hopefully clear the issues

  • Bad news - Failed the MOT only major thing was needing a new throttle cable so will have to wait on that and we are good to go.
Good News - Sold the 125 for £100 more than I paid for it, took a chance and put it up on ebay for a high price, but got a good offer on it.

  • markyboys dearest calls me adonis.

    "A Doris", G, "A Doris"

  • I saw a lovely red R100(?) BMW on my way in today. Old bloke riding it, with a fur-lined leather jacket one. Thought it'd be right up your street, Coppi.

  • You checked your insurance yet G?

  • You checked your insurance yet G?

Ah yeah, and your passeport, it takes month to get it done so you want to make this happen now for when we do that mystery ride next year...

first the bike itself, [two bikes actually] sexy sexy machine.

    then, the owner crashes it:

apparently brake fluid dripped onto the tyre.
sorry about no embed, messed something up :S

  • ouch, sliding into armco, not funny
Actually that is a thing I have seen a few times, owner spends loads of money on a bike, and then drops it
A guy I knew built an RC30 with all sorts of fancy parts and dropped it riding into a kerb outside his house, doing almost as much damage as that Ducati. What was silly in his case was that even though he owned a series of powerful bikes I never knew him to ride at a speed that couldn't be achieved comfortably on a 125. He was the butt of a lot of jokes and soon drifted away into some other hobby where he could show off his wealth.

  • at least he was wearing proper gear and not just what he wore in the first vid.

  • this guy is a hobbyist, but he knows his stuff, it was just the mechanic's fault.
having a supersport bike and riding it in city only/having a powerful bike and not cranking it is a waste imo, and a showoff.
on the side note, would love to hit the snake one day:)

  • Nicely shot film of some classic road racing in Belgium.

  • Just got my bike back as it needed it a couple of bits done for the MOT.
Carb needs a clean which I'm trying convince someone to help me with then the adventures will begin!
