FTR: My 2013 'current project' is to work on my existing bikes. For example removing the white finishing kit from the lovely SpotBrand frame.

The cranks I can understand. What's wrong with the wheels?
Actually, white saddles can sod off as well.

Nah, keep the saddle, cranks and rims - Enve and Rotor.

Curious question, any short/ish guys here ride 29ers? i'm about 5'6'', only ever ridden 26ers before
Do you know your preferred ETT? (say with a 50-60mm stem).
Would make it easier to narrow down possibilities. The 16" Jabbawocky is a good bet too. US based though.

As you know, I love orange. However, those rims hurt my eyes!
Nice frame though.

The saddle is fecking torture.
I keep washing the grips, as they feck with my OCDs.
The cranks are a silghtly different off-white to the frame. So clash.
I like the wheels, and cant justify replacing the blunts. Might strip and rattle can. Dunno. It a terrible bike to photo. But in the flesh its pretty nice. Just need toning down.

want to flog me the cranks?

Thats the trouble with velocity. They encourage this stuff.
I am lusting, to the extent of dribbling, over some 'tron blue' surly rolling darryls though.

If only they made fat tyres in Michelin wildgripper green :-)

Could do. They are steel axled aerozines (175mm) that have been custom ceramic coated white (off-white). Did'nt think there was a market for them TBH.
Dont have a BB though, or chain rings. Using a Hope ceramic I could'nt part with.

What wit XT cranks getting uglier & more expensive every year, my next set was going to be SLX.
I'm rather liking the look of these now.

If you have gears 175 is probably nice for you. SS, I'd go longer. Sucks when you're manically spinning along the rod to the trail. But they've pulled me up some nasty hills (usually use 165mm for everything).

What?
How much?(what do they weigh?)
Thinking of going lighter with the Spot. Its fecking light already, having Hope mini pros, carbon bits, and a SS belted drivechain. But it could go lower.

Too heavy for you. Does have a reinforced axle & steel pedal inserts though.
Around £80

Show me the trails this winter around Epping.
Plans to compete in off-road Transalp tour (Germany/switz/france) next summer.
Or the st James' camino route across northern Spain. -

This is true^
I lived there all my adolescent life and rode it regularly, but I still get into the same areas......my mate, however, is a northern monkey and can find the good bits! Can't work that one out!

even with a map i still see the same bits week in week out and those bits aren't too exciting
TT MTB sorted then.
