  • No... Buy the two9 already!

    ;-)

  • I'm glad you said that!

    :0)

  • Im most likely going to buy cannondale trail sl 2013 ss with my next salary. Any other options to consider? Few places also have 2012 model a bit cheaper. What is changed on the current?

  • I don't think there's much in it, other than the colour? Just reading about it on here yesterday

Seems like the brakes are the weakest part of the spec.

  • well, that is a tough choise then. I REALLY like the new color, but always a bit short on cash as I study at uni and cant work full time :-)

  • I REALLY like the new color

Do you like it £200 better though? £400 is probably what the frame & fork would cost if bought alone.

C'mon, Scoble & Dammit have let me down. Someone on this forum has to buy one!

  • I pick up my transition tomorrow........

I'll be plugging mud on it in the afternoon!

    Pictures after :0)

  • Great news stedlocks! Where're you taking it for it's maiden voyage?

  • I'm going to give it a thrash round Epping forest......I can climb and drop to my hearts content!
I've got to take my mates owl into the per school first though......that will delay me a bit!

  • ah the joy of not working .... or not working very hard !

£400 sound fantastic for a reputable brand singlespeed 29ers, I already have old but decent Deores disc to replaced the apparenty crap brakes.

I think the £400 Cannondale is better in the long term as decent hydraulic brakes are pretty cheap nowadays.

  • £420?!

  • Locks credit card in draw

  • Add a couple of Shimano M596 disc brakes (pre-bleed) and you're sorted.

Or rather, just the one on the front which would bring it to the grand total of £475 give or take.

  • However, I must not weaken.

  • No weakness.

  • I'm going to give it a thrash round Epping forest

Have fun. Mind those roots. They'll be lethal at the moment!

  • go tubeless, drop the pressure, pick your line (stick with it) and soften your grip

i am shit at muddy roots but the above helps me a lot

  • ah the joy of not working .... or not working very hard !

    Oy!

    I've just finished a 96 hour shift.......!

  • ^^ This is good. Relax & float over em. Also never ever ever follow my line!

  • that goes for me too, never follow an idiot like me

  • However, I must not weaken.

  • I'm hoping to lead a couple of rides around Epping Forest next Spring. I'll put them in the relevant thread when I know a rough date.

Then I can show you how to ride like a muptard some of the better routes.

*if they still exist since I last rode there?

  • No weakness.

Don't you have a basket to fill?
