Forgot to say that this is my new whip. Just built it up out of half the stuff on the Subrosa and some stuff off eBay. Just need a decent front wheel. I am super stoked.

Nice! I had one of theose SR chainsets. Nightmare if you ever need to replace the outer chainring, but looks like your running it on the smaller ring anyway

Thanks Stu, yeah, running it on the inner chainring. Any suggestions on how to un-stick a seized seatpost?

i take it you've tried oil and acid and stuff like that already.

Maybe for the next step try

• heating it up, then let it cool and try again
  
• or put the post in a vice and use the frame as leverage
  
  

Last resort is to cut it off just above the seat clamp and use a hacksaw blade down the hole. When you've cut through lengthways roll it up using some big grippers and pull it out

Melt it out? Depends. Is it Al or steel? If it is Al you can melt it over a few days with bicarbs, if its steel you can heat the frame with a blow torch...

+1 for melting - had it done on my Fuji a few years back.

By the way I think that those that were interested know what the track frame is now but just in case it's an Alien Bikes frame, '08 I believe. The company that makes the frames is now Viking Cycles (not that viking, this one). Basically, it's just this one guy in Norway who makes awesome frames!

The red one is the sketchy-but-awesome-as-fuck falcon that Matt, Mark and I turned in to a 5 speed.
