Ha! Nails = intensely stupid, then yes, yes I am :-)
That was great, cheers everyone. See you next time.

to be fair, I just realised that maybe fitting my antique weinmann levers to some deda pista drops may not really be a good idea. So, at some point in the following week I'll get myself a nice pair of road drops, some of them shimano brake levers, and some NEW cables! woohoo! and maybe even a cheap pair of spd-sl's... And then change my work schedule from saturday to shudder sunday :(
:)
hehehe alex i see your self-restraint thing is going very well ;-)
yes! change to sundays! what an awesome saturday habit - we can ride over to RP at stupid o clock in the rain together! -

you mean you didn't notice my bare legs?

You were wearing baggies in an official PRO zone and I thought if I didn't mention it you could avoid the consequences but on your head be it.
For god's sake man there were ladies on Lightweight carbon tubular wheels out there today; granted, punctured tubular wheels and she was walking back to the caff but what were you thinking?

+1 and repped.
It was a lycra only event. I averted my eyes when I saw the baggies and didn't notice what lay below them. I can only hope that you had shaved. Or waxed. Waxing is acceptable.

Blimey, sounds an eventful morning well done you all, I am off out on the bike now....to the local Kentucky and back with a family bucket, (knew it was worth hanging onto the pac)

local means 120km round trip for Martin.

the baggies were saving the blushes that my slightly see-through lycra shorts (that i was wearing underneath) would have caused had I not covered up.
I have learned my lesson I can assure you, they didn't exactly allow me to slice through that wind.

I thought he meant cycling to Kentucky - fixed and without a flotation device.

Anyone going out this morning?
I'm going to do 5 laps of RP all in the 20's, leaving Richmond Gate at 10am.

Aha, I thought I recognised you from track day.
I was going anti-clock, in the little ring. only a couple of laps though as my TP requires 2hour rides atm.

I clocked you too but wasn't 100% sure.
I chinned it after 3 laps, did a 19, 20 and another 20.
Got really hungry for a bacon and egg sandwich.
-
• #167
I did about 35 laps today, plus 5. Get me.
I've just had a facon/Emmental/ketchup sandwich.
What tediously similar lives we all lead.

I had coffee and walnut cake when I got home.
hope this helps

• #169
What's with the Emmental?
-
• #170
Dunno - it was in the fridge. My wife buys it occasionally for her packed lunch. It added a nice nutty velvetiness to the sandwich.
-
• #171
Anyway, you'd be craving Emmental if you'd done 40 laps.
-
• #172
40 laps of regents park, I am assuming.
rather than 280 miles of boring richmond
-
• #173
35 Inner + 5 Outer. Most of the shorter laps done at a jaw-dropping 12mph :)
-
• #174
12mph and 160rpm no doubt ;)
-
• #175
40 laps! I just couldn't cope with that amount of repetition. Well done.
Yeah come down JD (no rain next week plz).
