Apparently Ric's has been bought out by RG's... Doesn't bode well for the future... :(

• #105
So Ric's isn't shut yet? Has it turned skanky yet? 6kg over, eh? ;P
bloody bike! their policy wasn't clear on the interwebs, i thought you were allowed a total of 26kgs for bike box, but really it was 26kgs TOTAL luggage.. so i was about 25kgs over, but they charged me for 6.. so nice of them... NOT
no, ric's is just the same, it is just owned by RG's now (as is FatBoys), but they are keeping the same staff etc... same ol' really...

as you may or may not know, I'm about to get stung for big moneys on the frame I sent back form Japan. Not happy. But hey (shrug) thems the breaks. It will be lovely when its built up, but I won't be able to ride it for at least a year.
Having a sunny old time in Oz, met up with Jol and the melbourne polo boys, who are all win. Also a guy called Anthony is over here who played polo during the BFF last year down at Newington, we vaguely remembered each over, and have been doing a bit of reminiscing. Anthony is doing what I'm doing, but is getting paid for it, as he's studying bike cultures, and is building a bike wherever he lands, his blog is here, http://anthonysiracusa.blogspot.com/ he is cool as. Some other bods will be coming over to blighty with bikes, so I'll put them in contact with the good people here, treat 'em right, show 'em how we do in London and the best bits that the forum has to offer.
Went out on a wednesday night ride here and got crushed to smithereens at the brutality of the pace, obviously need to get out and put more miles in.
More bike stuff, travel stuff and writing stuff here. at the blog mrverte.wordpress.com
When I get a bit more time on t'internet I will post up a long thing about the journey so far in these here pages.
Be well good people, be well... -

shoots you and jonny and all you other hell for leatherers would love the pace of their wednesday night rides, just sprinting into the distance, all night long.
also please remember I'm rolling on 28's takes a bit of time to get them upto speed.Re: the mighty tottenham, trying to keep up with whats a happening, but me internet access is a tad sketchy, and its not the same with just written match reports and no highlights, but on a brighter note, one of badtmy's friends who took me out to an aussie rules game, used to be Barry Glendenning of Guardian Football Weekly fame's flatmate, small world huh..
Missing you good people as well, keeping uptodate with the forum when possible and random status updates on the book of face, keep me in the loop enough to make it feel like I'm almost there...

Ha... good to hear mate.
WNRC eh? next best thing s'pose.
Well, we're through to the Qtr's. 4-0 vs. Bolton. Pav did it again. Course, he doesn't spk english, so Harry can't ever shootthebreeze with him, but still... he needs more starts!
Fulham await, and they just knocked out Shakhtar - last years winners, and the horde that kicked our arse coupla yrs back.
Still... City have fallen, so it's all good.
Get those 28's a turning! -
