7" is much more usable, easier to hold and to type than a massive one.

Finger prints need to be taken and my fingers aren't fully healed. I've delayed the interview till Jan now :S
Sounds like US Visa fun.

Since the wife's 7 updated to 4.2, the brightness keeps flickering. It's v annoying. Anyone else have this?

^ I've noticed switching to Handcent the screen seems to dim a bit?

No problems reported here

Interesting. Turns out if you make music available offline by play music the files are hidden and you won't be able to access them unless you have root access. Seems a bit counter intuitive.

Haven't used sygic but have been using Navfree for a few months, and it actually gives better routes than my Garmin sat nav...
Ta. Will have a look at that.

Just another reason to hang on to my Desire HD till next year.

Interesting technology, but they haven't put it to a use where theres any real need (or at least they're not showing it in that situation yet). I mean, when was the last time you thought 'this phone would be so much better if I could bend it right now.'

Last time someone sat on their phone?

Initially followed fade's thinking but then came round Dammit's. Although I've never actually accidentally broken a screen before. But there's always a first time.

It's the phone equivalent of this:

I think it will be good for making phones that don't break so easily. When dropped etc... not sure about really needing a bending screen
-
• #9823
Definitely needs a way to make it snap back to perfectly flat as well. Imagine the screen always being slightly distorted...
I think phone manufacturers could probably be doing a lot more to make phones more robust and able to stand up to more abuse, but it seems theres a complete lack of push for them to do it, especially with smartphones having such short lifecycles.

short lifecycles.
Bingo! Phone makers have learned from Nokia's mistake with the 3210. It was so sturdy that it was usually still working perfectly come upgrade time. There's not many phones that last that long now.

It's not just phones is it? it's everything.
