Has anyone bothered rooting the S3? I got it week ago and I like it even more now it's sat in it's otter defender case. If you did root it, why?

It's giving some strange suggestions for me. It's like it's defaulting to the second most likely word rather than the most likely for a given gesture.

Lil, I think the Note 2 will be on general sale after October. I plan to get one for Xmas.

Yeah I know, I just was wondering if you geeks managed somehow to get your paws on before that :) I plan to get it in March if nothing else looks as good, as I obviously dont need a phone that makes calls :)

Lots of reviews of the S3 Otterbox Defender say that loads of dust gets under the screen cover - are you having any problems?

New phones that might be interesting, though none will steal me away from from the Galaxy Note 2.

I rooted mine, mainly to flash software and use titanium backup, there's a nice toolbox program that walks you through it all.

The swooshy-keyboard that Samsung put on the S3 is alright, but every now and again it just seems to refuse to accept a word - even if you swipe directly on the letters in order, it comes up with all sorts of weird suggestions but not the word you want. 1st world problems, etc...

iPlayer is awful quality though, right?

^^This is really irritating, I want real swype back. Although the versions of the keyboard on some of the newer jellybean leaks are better.

After an Android mind mapping application that actually allows me to edit from any computer. Tried Mindjet, epic fail on every library computer I have tried, even when they have firefox and not just Internet Poolorer.

Anyone any recommendations for screen protectors for the Nexus. It seems to scratch very easily. Just thinking of one of the clear film ones probably, but I normally find them a sod to get on properly.

Alternatively, any suggestions for a decent slim case?

Does anyone else have the problem with wifi on the nexus 7? Mine seems to not be able to connect when I turn it on but refreshing (or turning off and on again) the wifi seems to work. This doesn't bother me that much but my dad who uses it all the time is beginning to find it annoying, which considering we brought it for him as an easy alternative to use to a laptop is understandable.

Motorola are notoriously shit at making clever decisions so probably not..

Having got a waterproof phone, I can't really imagine anything else.

I want the bigger better Sony though. The Acro S, but it doesn't look like getting a UK release date.

Finally my Asus Transformer has updated to ICS on its own. what a wait... It doesnt look very different from the GB though.

Fuck that, I stuck a JB rom in it. Bit of a pain, but the shit hardware speed needs project butter.
