Ha, I fixed it pretty quick then went to play polo. It's good but no root means no titanium backup so no apps. I'll look into it if I get some sleep this morning.

So Nexus 7 arrived, took out of box, screen separated from case on left side. Put back in box, RMA arranged. Didn't even get to use it.

How the fuck is this allowed to happen in this day and age ? It's been out for over a month, and yet this is STILL occurring ? Now I have to wait another week for RMA to be processed. Concern is Ebuyer didn't even bat an eye lid and said they have had people complain about this. Oh and they don't do advance RMA's either.

I starting to think I should just give up with electronics

Order from PC world an collect in store?

Well I'm going to get this RMA'd... if next unit is broken, I'll just get money back and probably buy an iPad. I did want to buy from John Lewis so I could do that, but they are always out of stock

PC world say you can collect in an hour or something.

Search for cyclestreets in the marketplace...

If you go into the settings and try to turn on Vector maps, it'll take you directly to the 500MB install for the offline vector map bundle. Last updated in July I think it said - not sure how often it updates.

Oh, I also used Vespucci to edit OpenStreetmap on the go.. worked alright, although I did go and redo it all in jOSM when I got home.

Should've checked the review - all of them said the same thing since February.

I'm not the least bit surprised; the build quality of Asus' notepads is terrible. Having said that, Samsung's latest plasticky cellphones don't exactly fill me with confidence either, they just don't weigh enough.
It's a terrible shame that HTC have gone into decline. They used to build decent devices. Alloy casing and so on.

I think the Note 2 will be what I will be getting. I like the size.

Me too. It was only the lack of quad core that kept me from getting the original Galaxy Note.
