My Blackberry never crashed though, and never locked up randomly, both of which my HTC does.
I will probably get another android phone though as it seema.to be a two horse race, and i have a work iphone -

The new HTC Runnmede looks very nice and has some great specs - F2.2 8mp lens on a phone sounds very good;

It's great, for audio/pictures. Video is temperamental though and you can't skip forward.
I'm finding it useful as a remote using it paired with Serviio(PC end), for some reason Skifta doesn't pick anything up from my PC on the network unless its through Serviio
Balls. I tried it out last night. Pictures are fairly slow to load, and it jumps back to TV if you skip through a load of pictures in one go. (That'll be a problem with my TV though)
Complete fail on playing videos though. No idea if this is an issue with the phone, the app or the TV though. No error messages.
Let's see if Serviio works any better...

My old Blackberry handled email, text, calls, web-browsing and also worked as a sat-nav- pretty much exactly what my Android does now.
The Android is better from a usability point of view- the touchscreen is a big plus here, but I never had to power cycle the screen 5 times whilst trying to write one email on the Blackberry, so the faults in Android/HTC's design go a long way to cancelling the advances out some times.

No idea why that would be the case. Are your pictures saving to the memory card?
Nope all go to SD card...
You can also move most of your apps from the phone to the SD card.
Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Select Angry Birds (or whatever else you have installed) > select 'Move to SD card'
Should clear up loads of starage.
Yer I have done that, and now updated all of my old apps to ones that you can move to SD... and now I have 17megs free... but still.
Is there an app or setting that shows what actually is using most of your space n memory ?

You can download a great app called Astro. It's basically like Windows file manager. You can view and delete files without having to connect to a PC. You could also try clearing your internet cache and getting rid of any apps that you don't use regularly - you can always get them again in seconds from the Android market.

I never have any of the issues you have and I've used, what 4 different HTC devices.
I also have a Blackberry and an iPhone so I'm not comparing with stuff I don't use here.
Blackberry web browsing.. pfft.. I'd rather wait until I get to a computer. Most of my email is via Gmail so that renders it next to useless. Sat nav was fun when I found it but rubbish level of detail makes it pretty useless. Exchange Int was good, phone calls were same as every other phone I've used and battery life was better for reasons I've made clear already. -

Practising the dad jokes already? Isn't that a bit soon?

Mid-life crisis hitting a bit early.. I launched a ripper dad joke stream yesterday. It was like I was channeling fathers from across the shit joke world.

Finger presses on the screen become increasingly innacurate until you have to power cycle the screen, then they become accurate again.
I've had this on every HTC Nexus1 that I have had, and I've had a few!
It's the most annoying thing it does, makes typing (or selecting anything) impossible.
Before I discovered that power cycling the screen fixed it I used to have to power cycle the handset, which was hugely annoying.

What is this "beats" stuff? Is there much more to it than marketing?

Does anybody know how to force the sensation to update to 2.3.4 ?
It still says that my phone is up to date

It's the beats headphones, or am I wrong? Or am I?

No. Haven't we established that most of your replacement phones were due to you using the same dodgy battery? And that you are cursed when it comes to these phones?
The closest thing I've noticed is slow typing response when moving back to using the modded Samsung after using the Desire or DHD. That was because it was a slow phone.

Well, no, we surmised that the poor battery performance might be to do with an elderly battery, I don't see how that could effect the screen accuracy though?
All of my phones have been replaced due to various hardware failures, none of them the battery.
