  • BTW HTC Sensation comes out next month on T-Mobile... fingers crossed

Get it from Carphonewarehouse, so that it is unlocked from the get-go.

  • Carphone Warehouse? spit

  • Carphone Warehouse? spit

what's wrong with carphone warehouse? any issues i've had they have been superb. and they don't mind too much when my mum pops in once a week to try and remember how to text people

  • "Can your phone do this? This is really cool"

    arrgghhh!

    selfimmolates

  • Quick, out App her.

For me it's the process of walking into any phone shop that offends me. I just can't take anyone who wears a tie that badly seriously in any sort of conversation, let alone seek 'advice' or negotiate a contract. If it's just a handset you're after then hopefully you can just do it all online.

  • Online, sim and slimy salesshit-free ftw!

  • mashton's selling a Milestone...

"sold" to my brother. Ten minutes later he reminded me that his birthday is coming up soon. No money changed hands, sigh.

  • ha!

  • Tmobile cuntiness knows no bounds; they changed their contract terms at some point meaning you have to give 30 days notice of cancellation so if you haven't and you use a PAC code they'll charge even though you aren't using a Tmobile line any more. And they shut the number down this morning even though tfr date to Giffgaff is tomorrow. spits

  • Yeah I gave 30days notice to tmobile last year, no problems, didnt transfer a number though.

  • Endomondo
    great app for cycle training.
logs maps, times, altitude, distance, calories burnt etc etc etc.
    check it out.

  • So **Giff Gaff. **

Steve you changed over yet, was it straightforward? I assume you're porting your number?

  • yeah was easy once activated your SIM you get allocated a phone number by GG (number not on SIM) then just port old number across and choose the day you want it to happen. You can't set up auto monthly purchase of goody bags but you can 'queue' them.

You have to manually set the APN details for internet and MMS on Android handsets but that's a piece of piss

  • Coverage? Speed?

    Seems pretty good.

In an almost related note - anyone know of a good payg sim to pick up in Spain for interneting for a few days?

  • If you know someone else who's using giffgaff, then you can both get a free fiver of credit by giving their name when signing up. Free is the best price.

  • Giff Gaff is an O2 sub-brand so you are on their network.
Which has been down all over South and East London/Kent since about midnight....

The community sourced help and forum means you get much better info than O2 customers are about where's affected

  • Fucking East London!

We continue working hard to address the issue affecting services in parts of N and E London, Kent and E Sussex.
This was caused by theft and vandalism at one of our operations sites in E London.
We sincerely apologise to affected customers and will update progress regularly.

  • Might tell the boyfriend about the GG as he's on o2 and won't go on a contract and o2 is the best connection where he lives..

  • I'm on GiffGaff (changed last week), they carried my old number over fine and coverage has been much better than I used to get with Three.

Big +1 from me for them

  • Silver lining?

The researchers urged Android phone owners to update their device to avoid falling victim to attacks via the loophole. Google is also known to be working with operators and handset makers to get updates to people faster than at present.

Perhaps in the future providers will hand control over updates directly to the handset provider.

  • Not a chance in hell- the networks will give up control when Satan goes to work on a snow plow

  • shrug

I'm no lawyer, but I imagine they would be leaving themselves open to litigation if an update had been released, but they held it back (and that update would have prevented something bad from happening).

  • Just buy SIM free...

Speaking of which, anyone know when my SIM free Desire will get Gingerbread?
