  • Dibs you Desire HD when you get teh dev phone.

  • Formerly an Apple man. ^^^^^^^^^

    ;)

  • Old iPhone 3G still more reliable than my Nexus One, that much has not changed.

How quickly they come around to my the right ways.. soon he'll prefer the correct measurements - kilometres, centimetres, etc.

  • When did you buy the phone? When did HTC say it would have 2.2?
I do find it a bit funny that that people buy phones and expect it to run future iterations of the chosen OS. No one buys a computer expecting it to run Windows 8..

You did buy the BUDGET HTC option.

Anyway, the Samsung with GAOSP 2.2 didn't find Angry Birds in the Market.

    This says it's out:

End of August, when it was being reported that 2.2 was coming for the Wildfire in Sept on numerous tech sites.

    I know =(

Don't trust anything you read on tech sites is my lesson. But it's not really about the absence of 2.2 to be honest, I've just realised I want something more powerful and with a bigger screen that will run all the apps.

I have a house brick that never crashes. Not so useful though.

  • Heh, right on cue- my N1 just crashed and I had to pull the battery to reboot it.

    Bloody phones.

  • Told you you should have got the Desire.

Kilometres are right, just like me.

  • Nexus 2 looks interesting, but after the Nexus 1 performance debacle, I wouldn't touch it.

Carphonewarehouse have a very Android heavy Xmas line up. One of the phones is the 100GBP Alcatel OT-980.

I like it. Nice form factor, though a total ripoff the Blackberry Torch.

  • If the latest rumours of it being a Samsung are true.. you know where google can stick it.

  • Ahhhhhhh the replacement handset works now!

Although I might get a telling off for the old one for rooting it if they find out.

  • for you angry bird fans:

Ha, that made me chuckle on an otherwise grim Friday morning.

    No-one will ever know.........

  • They might, I had to exchange the old handset with the new one

    Urgh.

ViewSonic tablet just appeared at Droidcon. 300 to launch soon.

  • Wimamp beta
    (Possible repost?)
    Awesome either way

    I think it's a Galaxy S?

  • So hippy, do you still recommend I get a desire? Or is spending the extra and getting a HD now the recommended plan of action?

My mouse pointer is hanging over the order button.

  • Quick, Hippy, quick!

  • I do basically expect him to reply to my Android questions within a few minutes.

Any longer and he won't be adhering to our Service Level Agreement ;)

  • Heh

  • If the latest rumours of it being a Samsung are true.. you know where google can stick it.

if this is true that thenexus 2 is indeed a galaxy s that is great news for us galaxy s owners as the hardware will be almost identical which means that soon as new nexus2 updates come out it will be easy to rip and post tghem to other galaxy s handsets!!

so fk samsung and their lame update policy if they are forced to release updates as they are announced by google then it means we can all have them!!

  • Desire HD shipping Monday. Sweet.

So my Desire may be up for grabs soon.
