I've said it before, but: 2.1 already works as a 3G dongle (i.e, while connected via USB) out of the box. You just need to install the syncing software.

Are you using the stock SD card? If not, had you formatted it in the device first?

no have tried two different SD cards, but formatted them with card reader in PC -

Is it 'cos I is locked, and need unlocked (thought that was reason for Gold Card)?

Free app that provides real time GPS tracking - sort of like Google Latitude but more accurate.
You register your device with you account and when running in the background on your android (or iphone) it will send a GPS co-ordinate every x seconds (which is adjustable)
It does cane your battery if you don't use it wisely, but you can also send SMS's to it to remote fire the app and provide a location.
Have been playing with it for a couple of days and it's not bad for something that's completely free

Arrived this morning and i have had a play with it, handset is pretty sweet vfery very fast and seems to keep going despite running several items...

one bug bear though... cant find any decent widgets... it has 4 android widgets and about 8 clocks as samsung widgets...

anyone know where i can get an email wiodget which displays emails on screen like the desire?

Anyone know how to change the coour of the heading on the existing widgets... the feeds and updates widget is bloody bright pink!

If I hold on to my homescreen icons for a while, the bin logo comes up which means they go back to menu, and it works visa versca if that makes sense

The new Facebook for android update is very nice aswell!

Mine too. Seems to have added Voda 360, Voda logo at startup and messed up my book marks..... none of which I needed.

Wonder what other delights in store.

so had a play with galaxy s last night properly... phone is amazing, screen is so smooth and responsive makes using it a pleasure...

only bug bears are that the sense ui widgets are definately the best available for android... tried the pure widgets and the only one i liked was the calendar... shame i cant install the sense ui widgets on the samsung... other irritants are the orange apps that they insist on installing, i dont want orange maps, orange wednesdays etc...

Stock browser isnt great so using dolphin browser hd which was free from the market... so all in all i like the phone and im not missing the dell streak so all good!!
