  • Requirements:
No traffic should exit the device without going via the VPN.
The VPN connection should be re-established when connecting to a WiFi AP or returning to non-Wifi data.
For public wifi (e.g. The Cloud) which requires a login, the browser's connection to the login page should be allowed (without VPN), but all other data should be blocked until the login is successful and VPN reinstated.

When I read about this stuff last month, it seemed like app-based solutions could not intercept traffic and pipe them through VPN.

  • I'd check the T&C's with those, I'm pretty certain that you need a different/additional plan for tablets with GG and I can't see why a computer would be different

good call. Might go into a shop and see what they say...

  • I'll have this if bitterbuffalo doesnt want it. Cheers.

Why wouldn't you connect to public wifi with the VPN enabled?

I've been running OpenVPN on my Nexus for quite a while now. Assumed everything was routed through it but haven't done any testing.

  • N5 is pretty fast.

  • Not sure about this Hangouts being the default SMS app though. Farkin google wants to read all my texts now too.

    What's a good 3rd party SMS app?

  • Handcent

  • You think they weren't reading them before?
I like it being the default since I can switch sms conversations to hangout chats easily.

  • Yup... Tho' I had to stop using it when I got the N4, wouldn't behave itself...

  • I haven't even figured out how to use SMS with hangouts on my N4, not sure it's in the version of the app I have (which is up to date apparently).

  • The latest hangouts on launch will ask you to confim your mobile number. I updated yesterday, have sent a few message to people I know in my contacts list that don't have smart phones to test the SMS out.

  • Camera is nice. Can't work out how to increase desktop pages though

  • Can someone do a brief explanation of hangouts please?

  • You have to add screens to the right. How annoying.

    Anyone wanna buy a N5

  • Can someone do a brief explanation of hangouts please?

    Google Chat on 'roids.

  • does that mean that my sms msgs will be routed through google and therefore popup on my computer?

  • Dunno

  • Text me, bitches!

  • No, don't.

If they are anything like your posts on here, we should tell them to stop wasting their time.
