Wagamama? I know it’s not a sexy vegetarian suggestion, but it’s close by and does a decent selection of vegan and veg stuff

Hummmm... possibly if there isn’t any better option. I mean I haven’t seen them for a good few years so it wouldn’t matter what we eat, it’s the catching up that matters... 🤔

Mildred's - Lexington Street, Soho.
Not London Bridge - But not especially spendy. -

🍆?

If it's not too late, i.e. it wasn't for tonight, I don't think there are any specifically veg*n places around London Bridge, but Tas is quite good for vegetarians. Omnivorous, so don't know if it would satisfy your friends.

Or force them up Euston way to the vegan curry houses that have been in the area for years. I’d expect them still there.

Cheers for the suggestions, it’s tomorrow and I have told them the suggestions see what they say.
Just come back from a very nice curry house in Elephant and Castle, anothe friend and I go there all the time. If all fails, I’d just force them to walk to Elephant with me...

AFAIK they are not, their block was compulsory purchased by the government for the HS2 terminal from what a colleague told me at Christmas

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323623649379?ul_noapp=true i was thinking of buying this to build up into a rigid commuter. Is there any potential gotchas like it's got some old school no longer supported standard or the frame geo would only work with a suspension fork or it's way overpriced or anything? Don't really know what I'm doing but was hoping to learn on the job. Got another 26er bike with a fractured bottom bracket to try and scavenge some parts off.

Don't worry, they're all still there. Some stuff was compulsory purchased further down the street but that was the Ibis hotel, Calumet and, sadly, the Bree Louise pub. Curry places weren't affected.

Well it’s been years since I ate there, but glad to hear curry is still on the menu, even if a pint isn’t.

Looks normal but battered and a bit expensive.

what about.........https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254021098292?ul_noapp=true this? seems a bit better of a deal right?

I do love my Gary. This one's a little older I think but says genesis on it which was around the start of making everything long/slack, won't be anywhere near as long/slack as modern bikes but could be worth thinking about if you're using it for mostly on road stuff. Maybe 90s or early 00s steel would be better suited for commuting.
-
• #95044
Yeah I can imagine. Just quite wedded to the idea of disc brakes and a 26er and once I add 'steel' into that mix it gets specialist and the prices go up. https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?item=24372 says that it came with a 100mm fork so I guess that's on the edge of easily available sus corrected forks.

- What is this?
- How and why have they invaded my flat, apparently from the northern exposed window? We were away for a few days.
- How can I prevent them from coming back?

Have you got a real Christmas tree up?
-
• #95049
No. What I do not understand is how they get in. They aggregate in the corner of the window, by the rubber seal, but I did no see any bugs on the external wall. Odd.

Looks a bit weevil-y
https://www.orkin.com/other/weevils/something like that? Could be in flour, wheat etc... is it in the kitchen?
Any vegetarian places for dinner around London Bridge? Got some friends visiting and they are very strict vegetarians...
I should add that I would ideally like a place that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Ta!
