But seriously, vans hi tops protect your ankle well. They last ages too, I used to get through a pair of modern skate shoes every few months but if been wearing the same old skool vans for the past 10 years.

Oh yes I have, I just rode the same griptape for a long time and didnt do flip tricks. You can see a pic of them if you really want.

I just walked around with the skateboard a lot. Something a do with my fixie skidder now.

not really that bothered, I just don't believe any pair of shoes will last 10 years skating. Hell, I wear through shoes in about 1 year just walking.

They are canvas topped shoes of course they get wet, the soles have got softer over the years or my feet have got softer don't know.
