  • @withered_preacher @mdcc_tester @dancing james @Howard @Hovis

    Thanks! Jtek it is.

  • Hmm, me too. Will begin the conversation there and see how things go. Want them to replace the pair, as one red tyre's not a strong look (no, nor's two either, I know, I know.)

  • Repped.

You were there for the long haul and toughed it out to the end.

You asked the right questions and you kept asking them until you got the right answers.

    You got the result.

  • Its been emotional.
I'd like to thank my parents for all their support and my fans for sticking with me throughout

  • where can I get alligator i-link style brake cable (kit) in London by Friday?

  • I have a 10" 300mm data cabinet with m6 cage nuts. I'm building a project with a raspberry pi and I want to fashion some kind of vertical mount that hangs off of the rack for the pi itself and also some kind of vertical plate I can attach a 7" hdmi display to that also is held vertically in front of the rack.

I figure there must be some kind of mecanno style kit that will have tons of rails and nuts and plates with holes to attach things to but for the life of me i can't find the right keywords on google and it seems like mecanno now only makes race car and dinosaur sets and the same bollocks kits as lego.

anyone got any ideas for things i could try?

don't have any space in our flat for tools so needs to be something i can just screw/bolt together out of the box, no cutting/drilling.

  • ordered! Thanks xoxo

  • He needs every trick in the book to get those Paul brakes to actually stop a wheel...

  • I think he's given up on that bike altogether. He just won't publicly admit defeat

  • Can anyone tell me what model of bearings I need for low flange Royce track hubs and also recommend/link to some decent quality cartridges of that description.

Need to do front and rear hubs.

    Ta.

  • OT,
but I'm assuming more will read it here than any Gardening thread.
Anyone ever hired a Crane/Hiab truck?
May need to get three serious espaliers, (estimated 150kg for tree & rootball),
into a backgarden. Fence panel can be removed, estimated reach of maximum 10metres.
So anyone ever hired a crane/hiab truck?
    Someone in the crane trade?
Family member or friend in the crane trade?

  • Are there any good explanations for esoteric physics that don't rely on there being more than the three dimensions of space plus time? I just don't buy into the more dimensions explanations.

  • Quite a reach for a Hiab and you might have a problem with access/room for the outriggers, if you're lifting from a residential street.

A spider crane would be a better bet on a tight plot.

This lot have a Hiab with a 10m reach, but 950kg limit.

And although it isn't listed for hire, they have a spider crane. Speak to Steve: if they're quiet, he'll hire it out. Say "hello" from Jim in Ipswich.

  • There's absolutely no evidence that there's any more than 3 spatial dimensions and 1 temporal dimension. What esoteric physics specifically? Quantum gravity etc.?

  • I've hosted my domain (mashton.com) with easyspace, since I bought it many years ago.

It's costing me 20quid per annum which seems like quite a lot as all I use is their DNS and MX record services.

It's up for renewal so I could switch now with no penalty.

Is there a go to, forum approved, registrar that will save me cash?

As I write this, it occurred to me that Cloudflare might be the right answer. @Velocio is it?

  • DNS registrars will always be needed, I prefer Gandi. The fees are predominantly paid to the .tld registrar and so are not avoidable.

Once you have a registrar, then you can use a Cloudflare free account as the DNS nameservers, and manage your DNS records there and this would be 100% free and is superb (we have many products of varying quality, our DNS is the best in the world).

The only real advantage will be if Gandi take less of a cut as a middleman than easyspace do... probably, is the answer.

  • Thanks!

  • I use gandi.net which was the recommendation when I asked the question on here a while back. Think it's about €10 per annum (but not 100% on that)

  • Yeah, I have just transferred to it.

I am assuming it will be seamless and that my MX records (the main use) will transfer automatically?

  • where can I purchase a chris king mix and match headset? need an EC34 and EC44 bottom .

  • I'd try AVT.Bike. Chris King suggest them as a supplier, I believe.

  • For a Rab eVent jacket, Nikwax TX.Direct wash in, Tech Wash or both.
