How much do you need to spend on a dehumidifier for it not to be shit? It's for my tiny, tiny bedroom.

The last couple I bought were around that. Delonghi Dem10

First one was second hand and died after a reasonable amount of time, bought an identical one to replace it. Takes 2L out of the air over about 24hrs. Might be a bit big for just a bedroom but I've not seen a small one that wasn't completely useless.

Sounds about right. Trotec are worth a look, my TTK65E looks like it was put together by professionals.

Hmm, that seems to only remove 250ml of water per day whereas something a bit more expensive will remove 8l, seems like it's worth spending a bit extra. Cheers for the tips, I've lived in this house for 2 years, don't know what's changed to make my room suddenly start getting damp.

Not sure any modern ones are shit but the more you spend the quieter they seem to be.

The bigger ones like mine are supposed to be good up to 2-3 bedroom houses. As the room it is in dries, the moisture is drawn out of the others. If it's a shared house, have you considered chipping in for a communal one? The benefits will be shared anyway; clothes dry faster, house heats up quicker etc. Also, chances are if you only try to dehumidify your room, you will draw in moisture from the rest of the house anyway as soon as you open your door.

Depends what you're using them for, if it's shimming handlebars then yes.

New Shimano CS-HG800-11 cassette goes all the way down to 34t (11-34). Good news for my weak knees, however tech docs also say the new cassette is only compatible with (also new) Ultegra RD-R8000-GS. Any thoughts as to whether the new cassette will work with good ol' 105 RD-5800-GS? Possibly soneone already had an experience? Thank you.

How much alu BB shell can I realistically remove with a facing tool?

I’ve got 10+ punctured inner tubes in the shed and have run out of repair patches.

Any reason not to use the cheapest patches I can find on eBay? (32 patches for £2.49)

There's a possibility it may work.

If you have 11-32t on your wheel already with the 105 GS, how far have the b-screw gone in?

If it managed to clear a 32t cassette on the small ring with little adjusting on the b-screw, then try and tighten it further and see how much gap you can obtain between the upper jockey wheel and 32t sprocket.

AFAIK it can only take a 28. Its first gen sram road.
The problem is without a washer the mech moves side to side 4/5mm on the knuckle.

How long do you have to do the job? Keep the cutting fluid flowing, and stick at it, and you can take off as much as you like. How much you should take off is another question.
