Are there holes in the bottom of the bb shell? If so can you get a cable tie through them to hold the cable flat against the shell and out of the way of the axle?

Certain death.

Meant to post this in the mechanics or indra thread, it was a BB guide bolt that the guy kept tightening when it went loose.

thats a good suggestion - can't work it this frame though unfortunately.

have seen similar pics - i imagine cable will wear faster than spindle but don't fancy sudden rear brake failure when it does.

30mm spindles are usually alloy, cable has some steel in it...

Internet research suggests running an 11-speed (SRAM) chainset with an otherwise 10-speed setup will be okay.
Does this forum's hive mind agree?

It'll be fine.
-
• #85210
The difference is minimal. Will work fine

Cable rub is no joke. This is my friends chainstay vs. rear brake hose. -

Cheers.
Fine might be overstating it, it is SRAM, but as long as it's not any worse.
-
• #85213
Sram is bad because of user error. Once you get it perfect it's just so good

Where is my phone?

What's your number? I'll ring it for you.

PS - I definitely won't have little phone box cards printed up.

Ran out of batt last night. Had it to dial a takeaway. Drove to collect it. Sat in the dark with it looking on RightMove. Tried to use it to turn down the Sonos. Couldn't. Put it down 'somewhere' (shelf/coffee table) as I turned down the speaker manually. Not seen since. My father in law is adamant he didn't pick it up by mistake. I suspect foul play and that he's actually selling them en masse to a phone theft gang operating out of Prague.

Right-click, paste as text. Should remove the old formatting for you.

If all else fails paste it into Notepad and then copy and paste from Notepad into the second document.

Congrats to Skinners :)
i am building up frame with internal cables - rear hydraulic brake cable goes through the BB shell (out along the chain stay).
my cranks have an oversize spindle and the only compatible BB has no sleeve (no room for a sleeve with the oversize crank spindle).
if i use these the spindle will be rubbing against the cable which must be asking for trouble right?
