Bitcoin, how does this all work?
I set up a wallet at Blockchain, and bought some bitcoin.
I then attempted to make a payment using a link. Copied the link, pasted it into the send part on Blockchain and it came up with the correct amount. It then just showed as processing for ages until Blockchain logged me out and the payment didn't go through. Is it common that payments can take ages or time out (it showed as processing for well over an hour). Tried on different, browsers, PCs, connections ...

I have an Abus integrated chain/lock combo that I got from decathlon a few years ago. It's still going strong but the keys are cheese and keep snapping. Getting a replacement key from Abus looks impossible (I don't have the card with the requisite security code on, and the company who are listed to handle their aftersales have absolutely no info about this on their website). So - does anyone know where I can get an Abus bike key cut in London? I don't want to chuck the lock as it still works really well, but I don't want the lock stuck around my waist/my bike.

King Joseph from Nigeria has all your money.

Is there any particular advantage of a 1/8" chain over a 3/32" for fixed or single speed? Just that 1/8th is stronger or something else?
Soon will be putting new cog on new wheels and replacing chain at the same time so curious as to whether there is a significant difference.

Using the mobile app worked, with the browser version on PC I couldn't give King Joseph any money.

• #81810
No, none.
1/8" is just a legacy.

Thanks - that's good to know.
I thought a slightly wider chain was maybe some special thing that you needed to enter the kingdom of fixeh skidder.

No, that's an Arrospok.
You're not ready.

Can you recomend me a decent light wide modern road rim for a pair I'm getting hand built?
Cheers -

The wheelbuilding thread is your friend, there are several options depending on what you're building and what you're going to use them for.

I just removed my Thomson seatpost and noticed there's light corrosion on the post where it's been inside the frame. How do I avoid this in future?
I'm pretty sure I applied a light layer of grease when I installed.

How do I avoid this in future?
Copaslip, if it's a metal frame.

More Copaslip®grease or similar.

Engineers / electricians / technical savants.
This is beyond my knowledge or skill level and I'm struggling to find any definitive information on it inside the Google.
I assume this question is potentially irrelevant because the answer is dependant on how it's wired up but I'll ask anyway...
This timer relay system is fitted to the compressor at work.
I need to know where to set the dials in order that it comes on as infrequently as possible for as short a time as possible.Any steer in the direction towards an answer would be rad.
I know it's not strictly bikes but it's the compressor linked to our air inlet for spraying stuff... so it's kinda bikes.
Thanks in advance.

Shopify is very easy but charges monthly + payment fees.
Likewise BigCartel is easy but charges monthly.
It depends how technical you are. If you need it all done for you then you'll be paying more. WooCommerce seems pretty well reviewed and is free if you can integrate it with your Wordpress site yourself.

I suspect you need to look elsewhere for your answer, pressure switch settings.

Thanks.
I expected as much.
Any idea what that might look like? The tank holds 500litres.
I want it to come on when it's got 50 litres left rather than simply coming on all the time.
I'm probably gonna have to pay someone aren't I?

Okay i'll try do it for free. But it continually asks me for money...

There may be a high and low pressure switch setting, that may be settable, but depends.
I.E. The compressor cuts in on low pressure and cuts out again at high pressure, not capacity.
For example it may come on at 65 psi /4.5 bar and then stop once the pressure reaches a set high pressure maybe 100 psi /7 bar.
This is the usual method of simple control.
May look similar to this.
