How does one attach mudguards to the rear brake bridge when the threaded hole is vertical rather than horizontal? Do I need to remove the bracket and drill a hole in the mudguard?
Not my bike, but this pic shows the issue - I'm not convinced by their zip tie solution.

Thank you very much.
This is super helpful.
Is this a field of expertise of yours?

You should be able to do it all for free although I've not used it personally it's usually pretty easy at add Wordpress plugins.

When my top bracket broke, I used to cross-over two zip ties around the whole guard and bridge (my guards were made of flat alu plate so this didn't crush or bend the guard).
Could just bend the mudguard tab over backwards and run a bolt through that?

Drill a hole in the mudguard, push the bolt through a washer then the hole, then thread it into the frame.

Can you not run zipties under that bracket, ie. between the silver bracket and the mudguard, on either side of the mount tab?
That would give a more solid mount.

Absolutely drill a hole in the fender and then mount it to the frame as designed. Space it properly for aesthetics and long fender life.

Drill away, you can get through those with a Phillips screwdriver if you don't have a drill to hand, V brake conical washers make good, if slightly ugly spacers too.

I'm seeing quite a variation in price
Because one is a bike shop and the other is a bearing shop. Bike shops always overcharge for bearings because they know that are only ever selling to people who don't know that bearing shops are cheaper 😀

Still paid £20+ each for my BB bearings from a bearing shop :(
Stupid Rotor BBs

Once I've made brifters work again after loads of WD-40 to get the crap / solidified old grease out of the gear, what should I use to re lubricate permanently?

I used a small stiff paint brush and stippled some molybdinum grease on my working parts but that's a whole different story.
Is it possible to integrate it without paying for anything as I need to pay even if Iwant to use my own domain. I am happy to pay but do obviously want to pay the least
