  • How do I get rid of the stench of garlic from my breath?

  • Rub it with aluminum.

  • Oh shit, that's the hands...

  • Brush your teeth.

  • The teeth on this sachs cassette seem to be kind of y shaped on the edge

Which makes it look like they are worn down (when viewed from side)

Question is this the design or are they in fact worn down?

edit: having cleaned this it's actually the design

Teeth look sharp when worn or like shark fins.

  • <^>

is this the sign for a wide-on?

  • A protest against the absence of a downward-facing chevron, actually

  • What about "V"?

  • Well I never...

  • Are Titanium forks any good?

Not really the best place to lash out a ton of cash on the expensive metal - the trouble with forks is lateral stiffness, and if you use enough titanium to match a steel fork in stiffness, it ends up just as heavy. It will be stronger, but that just slightly extends the range of crashes you can have which don't destroy the fork. The big crashes above that range are going to be expensive enough without the extra cost of replacing a Ti fork, the little ones won't break a steel fork anyway.

  • does anyone have the tool for removing a sachs freewheel like the picture above? I have the same setup!

i'm now own this frame. im trying to decide on parts. wheels are causing me a problem:
i want to get on the track this year and start what will hopefully become a permanent hobby, i hope to compete etc. i dont want to buy/build a nice wheelset that suits the build to find out that they arent suitable for track riding. SO, i need some advice. do you think mavic ellipses would suit this frame (the build will be minimalist, mostly chrome with black tape and a black saddle)?
OR do i build a nice wheelset (maybe suzue hubs with box section rims)?
could someone photoshop some ellipses onto the frame for me?
so yes, this is me pleading for someone who has better photoshop skills than me to help me in my quest for an aesthetically pleasing, yet functional (on track) bike. and yes, i do know that an alu build with more modern technology will be better suited to the track, but fuck it, i've bought a steel frame because i love it.

  • something classic looking would be my choice, suzue on MA2's would be nice

as much silver as possible ftw

  • im trying to decide on parts. wheels are causing me a problem:

Are you racing or posing? If racing, just buy some Ellipses. Who cares if they match your frame, they are good wheels, cheap, strong, and faster than anything you'll build with 32 spokes and metal rims.

im posing and racing, the question is, could i build some more classic wheels to a comparable standard? (obviously not weight-wise)

  • I need a modest torque wrench that can do 5 and 7 Nm in order to tighten controls, stem and seatpost.

What is a good but affordable torque wrench to get?

  • How do I get rid of the stench of garlic from my breath?

People used to chew on garlic to freshen their breath.

It is a pungent smell, but quite frankly I agree with ye olde people that its actually quite nice and far superior to bacteria laden oral cavity.

  • Also, what is the cheapest place to get a CycleOps Fluid2 trainer- I think Amazon is winning with £183 delivered so far?

  • the Ritchey Torque Key does 5nm and Sigma Sport have a version which isn't 4mm only and has changable bits
