Someone on here linked to some carbon Deda forks a week or two ago somewhere on here, they were about £60. Can't find it anywhere despite having UTFS. Any ideas?

carbon Deda forks...about £60
Could have been these, but they've run out:

Anyone else have issues uploading pics taken off their iPhone because the files are too big? I can't check on my phone but I'm assuming they are over 3mb. Is there an easy way to lower the file size on my phone?

Either send it to yourself over email/message, as those apps reduce resolution/file size, or do a screenshot while viewing the pictures in the photo app to create a new image at the resolution of your screen, which will be suitable for display here and quite a bit smaller file size than the original.
There's also a free app if you want more control

The screenshot is a great idea, cheers

What I do is take 1x1 pic rather than standard ratio. Helps most of the time instead of any extra operation. Also, on iPhone you can cut extra bits out using standard pic viewer

Cheapest/most available 1 1/4 ~> 1 1/8 headset reducer please?
Kuota needs forks replacing, don't want to mess with 1 1/8 / 1 1/4 tapered, I want to use 1 1/8 straight steerer.

If it's integrated, it's going to look proper weird with a 1⅛" fork, and you don't need a reducer as such, you need a crown race embiggener to get from 30mm OD on the crown race seat out to the chamfer on the 33mm ID bearing.

Looking weird isn't an issue, it's the kuota...!
Whole headset needs replacing so I'd like to use a 1 1/8 headset rather than dick about with awkward sizing of the original semi integrated + bigger crown race, unless you have a link or have one spare?
Could get bearings from local industrial bearing shop maybe. Had trouble locating correct headset before.

This never happens. Bigger bearings = better.

Okay, so I admit defeat.... so I go 1 1/8 straight steerer, with the 1 1/8 on top, and 1 1/4 below but with a little>large crown race?
Agreed it may look bad, but 1/4 tapered forks are tough to find cheap (I have a 1/8 fork spare).
Help to find the crown race then please?

And you probably will again, whether it's for 1¼ or even worse trying to fit a 1⅛ fork into it. My general advice to anybody cursed with a Kuota is to cut your losses and get a proper bike.
Presumably this is the bearing , which solves half the problem if you just have knackered bearings. I'm guessing that since you asked for the cheapest reducer you probably won't be all that interested in a 3T Funda Team which is probably the cheapest decent 1¼-1⅛ tapered fork you'll be able to get this week. There should be a Rigida Pro in that size for a lot less, but nobody seems to have them.
Making a crown race to fit a 1⅛" fork into a 1¼" lower bearing would be cheaper than getting a high end fork, which is throwing good money after bad since it's a weird size that will be hard to shift once you bin the frame. The world is full of cheap 1½" to 1⅛" crown race adapters , but 1¼" lowers didn't take off the first time (if you're old enough, you'll remember that 1¼" was going to be the solution to all our problems of using 1" headsets on mountain bikes, until 1⅛" swept the floor and made the Shimano HP-M902 a collectors' item) and they aren't taking off this time either.
Your bike will end up looking like this, but as it already looks like a Kuota the good ship Aesthetics sailed a long time ago.

Very sigh, much awkward.
Yup seen the 3T offering. Seen silly prices for used forks on the ebay, too.
Well, the bike cost me £0.00 having been dad's doomed Ironman race bike; he upgraded to a Cannondale Synapse because of issues with the Kuota, and since then a Specialized. I'm happily riding the 'dale with the Dura Ace salvaged from the Kuota.
Really really, I want to get this Kuota working, safe and smooth to ride. Aesthetics are as your remark, out of the question. It will be a good pub bike one way or another.
These are the forks I bought on-here cheap cos of a very short steerer. With a little-n-large race, I can deal with the ugly.
I still suspect that a 1/4 -> 1/8 reducer for the headtube would be a greater convenience, then I'd be using standard 1/8 headsets, no? But then, I won't change the bearings for years anyway.........

Show me the head tube, I've yet to see a Kuota with a tapered fork which is susceptible to reduction with one of the standard top hat bushes.

How about this shim
Wrong size, if you're going to shim it you need 33.0 OD and 30.0 ID, a difference of 3.0 not 3.2. It's a press fit, it needs to be spot on. In a perfect world, you'd actually want a top hat bush rather than a shim to completely eliminate the possibility of a shim popping out of the top of the crown race, but some bearing fitting Loctite should be enough insurance.

Got any materials laying around that I can throw coins your way, to make something for me tester?
Time to sleep anyway. Thanks for your help.

It would be notes rather than coins, but if you're completely stuck and want to throw some money at it a bushing to fit a 1¼" crown race onto a 1⅛ " would be no more than my £100 minimum for custom work.

Are drum brakes a good idea?
Is there a thread about drum brakes?
-
• #78247
Tandem thread may be your best bet from drum brakes. It's the only place I've seen them mentioned.
-

I have them OE on my Pashley RM92 (postie) and they're fautless. I suspect a mountain descent would cause a bit of heat but day to day perfect.
-
• #78249
I'm thinking of putting some on my pompino or another similar bike to make a 3 speed I can use for work. Nearest it will go to a mountain is hitting 30mph down brixton hill.

Shimano ultegra 6503 sg triple 52T outer ring 9 speed 130 BCD a type replacement?
I found only 30 inners and the ring is an homage to Jaws by now.
Stronglight has no ramps so not sure about shifting. Ffs shimano.
Anyone know what the centre to centre cog spacing on a Shimano 11speed cassette is? This info seems to be missing from Shekdons crib sheet. Ta.
