  • Just checked my last Uber receipt email.

They do sign DKIM and it passes but the way they do it means that it won't survive auto-forwarding. They have included the To: field in their DKIM signature which means that when the email is forwarded, the To: field will be changed and when the DKIM check is carried out at the forwarded to mailbox, it will have changed and will cause DKIM to fail.

So, failed DKIM and failed SPF means that DMARC will also fail. At which point the verifier will enact the Quarantine policy and send the email to the spam folder.>

  • Anyone know if there exists a headset for standard press in cup, 1 1/8" diameter headtube that takes bearings that have 30.2mm ID and 45mm inner angle?

Basically I want to change the fork on my bmx but my bike is mid school and has the standard 1 1/8" headtube for press in cups and now that bmxs use internal headtubes/sets a lot of forks have an integrated crown race so if I could change my headset to a sealed bearing one running the same spec of bearing as the internal headset then it'd give me more fork options.

  • Cheers, this sounds more complicated than I thought. I use Expensify for expenses, emailed receipts (hotel, flights, etc) are forwarded onto them manually by me or some are forwarded by rules I have set up in Outlook (work email). I assumed I'd be able to set up similar rules in Gmail but seems it's not quite the same.

  • The manually forwarded emails should be fine as they would be coming from your email address (so long as your company's email auth. is up to scratch).

It's the auto-forwards that can be a bollox and it would be the same no matter which infrastructure you use. I can't see that Expensify are using DMARC on their outbound (at least not on any of the usual domains - expensify.com, e.expensify.com, email.expensify.com, info.expensify.com) so if they aren't, it's unlikely they've set it up on the inbound so you're probably fine.

Gmail uses Filters to do auto forwards. There are a few help pages if you Google it.

I wouldn't rely on it to deliver my email though because of what I have said above.
Essentially it is a means of you "spoofing" the domain of the person who originally sent you the email, albeit for legitimate reasons. This is being clamped down on more and more and if someone implements anti spoofing and doesn't care about protecting forwarded messages where they can (why would they, their email got to where it was supposed to go), the Ban Hammer comes out.

  • I want the emails to come from my email account (Expensify wouldn't recognise them as my expenses otherwise). Outlook rules and my work email work fine for this but, from looking at the info on Filters online the only option seems to be the auto-forwarding option which, from what you've described, won't necessarily work.

  • Got a campag cassette lockring issue, doesn't fit my fairly new khamsins... is the lockring outdated?

  • is the lockring outdated?

Probably, there are a couple of different thread sizes for Campag cassette lock rings, plus different flange diameters to suit either 11T or 12/13T top sprockets.

  • Thanks, they sold it as a 12 tooth so hopefully that's right... must be the thread size I guess. Already changed it once. I'll have to take the wheel into them. Cheers.

  • Thanks, I figured that may be a risk. Next stupid question - will those shimano bolts fit atac cleats? Looks like they have a shoulder/shank under the head, whereas the time bolts don't.

  • Joined the scooterability club @dancing james started.

Any suggestions on where to buy a scooter, need it before the 14th.

  • I need a new wheelset for the rat bike.
Planet X liquidation sale says I can get these for £80-odd quid.
    Are they worth having?

  • Every goddamn day I receive a couple of calls from 0207 numbers. I never pick up and they never leave a message. I'm registered with TPS and I add the calls to my every growing block list, but is there any way to stop/lessen these calls in the first place?

  • 0207 is just the London prefix so they might not be crank calls?

  • 20h alternatives to DT Swiss R460?

  • RR511? Quite a bit pricier tho

  • I think they're 'london' numbers that you can buy

These numbers called me last week

    020 7534 8631 (2)
    020 7517 8631
    020 7946 0164
    020 7517 8631
    020 7321 2437
    020 716 8591
    020 751 4587
    020 716 8591
    020 3056 7953

it's been like this for weeks now

  • Where can I get Paselas in 32 in London?

  • SBC maybe

  • Yeah I google every number! It's annoying as fuck!

  • Where can I get camouflage bar tape?

  • Where can I get camouflage bar tape?

They said they had some in my LBS, but I went there and I couldn't see it.
