i've had smaller stuff go to the local RM sorting office and larger stuff back to the PF depot
-
• #67978
Thats what I though; if its PF depot it will be a ballache ..
-
• #67979
It'll probably be at the PF depot.
You can pay a whole £1 to have it delivered to your local Post Office (not RM depot, an actual post office) where you can then collect it from.
See the parcelfarce website.

What kind of script and what was being animated?
Do you mean some kind of wordart generator?
-
• #67981
Sorry, I've explained that badly.
Script as in words for characters to speak rather than programming thing.
A facebook friend has just worked out what I meant and it is, sadly, no more :
Does anyone know of something similar?

ah ha! That would be the perfect solution .. finding it now

I'm looking to purchase a touring frame set to build over the next year.
I want something that I can use to disappear for a week, enjoy riding on twisty roads and be lightweight if possible for flights etc
I will have a minimal approach to
Touring, taking as little gear as possible to lessen the weight.Oh and it needs to be pretty.
Any frame suggestions?

Buy my Rychtarski for light touring ;)
Ideal set up if you are not tall -

I had it on a list of charges when I fell off my bike drunk,
It got thrown out of court as the Pf thought it was. Waste of the courts time
-
• #67988
Ok, that's a lot more complicated than what I imagined!

Because I didn't check my order with planet x properly, I now have jagwire ripcord gear and brake cable kits. O was hoping to set up my cross bike today. I can replace the MTB ended cables for bog standard road ended cabling and the world will not end. Correct?

Yes.

I've tried googling this with no success. I'm looking for a floor standing lamp (i.e. standard lamp) that has a bracket partway up for a surround sound speaker. Would have thought it would be a fairly neat solution but they I can't even find a mention of such a thing. Anyone seen these?
-
• #67992
Use these as your surround speakers and stick a table lamp on top :-)

Anyone know the size of the fork ends on an alpina track fork? Forgot to measure before i gave it to LBS to be drilled, and I have a feeling the axle on the wheels I have will be to big.

While Shimano do a 'carbon and alloy laminate' on their OEM wheels, there doesn't seem to be anyone selling just rims with this laminate stuff. Because it's a shit idea?
Seems sensible in theory... -
• #67995
Maybe because rims wear out and Shimano would rather you buy a whole new wheelset from them.
I have RS81-24 wheelset. Lots of good reviews and no problems with mine so far...

Because it's a shit idea?
I have a feeling it's a patented idea, and that Shimano licence it from Alex. It's probably an expensive process too.

Anyone know how this works?

Looks like spanner flats on the tops of the bolts
-
• #67999
Yes, as @TomvanHalen correctly says, you need to tighten them with (from memory) a 10 mm spanner. The rear one might have an allen head, hard to see from your photo.

Any idea if there are any spammers designed for this application? Think it will need to be extra slim...
Neither, it'll go to the parcelforce depot. At least in my experience; my RM depot and RM Branch are both a few mins walk from my house by the PF place is over in Camden.
