Do you know what size it'll be mr tester?

that was an open goal, you couldn't really miss

7mm, first guess

No idea, you'll have to measure. Threads look like maybe M8, the biggest square you can make on an 8mm shank is about 5.6mm so I'd guess at 7mm across flats based on the amount of corner cutting.

That's never going to work, the open wrenches are about twice the size he needs.
This set will almost certainly contain the right size, and the offsets are likely to be useful

Actually, did some further interwebs research and there seems to be problems:

Bought these as there is a 5.5, 6 and 6.5, one of which I'm hoping will fit.

The reason I posted was I've not come across such an awkward clamp before, wasn't sure if there was some magical tool that makes it make sense.
Guess not

I've just measured mine (insert Kenneth Williams jpg here) and it's 6 mm.

So I just found out I have a TA axix bb in my track bike, not a miche bb like I thought I did. The TA is the perfect size with replaceable standard 6903 cartridges, only problem is mine are well cooked...how do you take the bearings off the axle and remove the one from the cup? What's a suitable replacement? I'm in australia so was gonna go for these.
Edit...got them off with a bit of hammer persuasion. Time to measure the suckers.

For bearing removal, use a bearing puller, tutorials on teh interwebz on how to use:
2rs suffix means both sides of the bearing have a rubber seal, so will keep dust out, they look up to the job

Perfect, I'll order those, given it's a winter commuter.
I managed to get them off quite easily with a few light taps of the hammer and supporting the bearing in a vice. Getting them back on might be a bit harder. I'll have to think about that, might use a deep socket on the inside part of the bearing.

5.5 then innit

7/32s is about 5.5mm

I think it's a problem with the cheap spanners not being true to size rather than a half size, however will be able to confirm this once the new set land.

cross-post from transmission database...anyone running SG75 cranks with a 103mm ISO BB?

SG75 cranks with a 103mm ISO BB?
Aren't they supposed to be 109.5mm? And who does a 102mm ISO? 103mm JIS and 102mm ISO are common. If you use a 102mm, your chainline will be 3.75mm inboard of whatever it's supposed to be, and there's a good chance that the spider will interfere with the chainstay unless it's both skinny and dimpled.

Did you go 99p store, poundland or pound world?

I have safety lips on my fork. They are preventing my track nuts from sitting flush on the dropout. I could file. However, are there track nuts I could use that have a lower flange if that's the word.

The spanner set in question actually belonged to my gf originally, I can't be certain but would guess they were from the 99p store, as this seems to be her budget emporium of choice.
Looks more like a 5 or 6. Would have thought most double ended wrenches would fit, an adjustable maybe not.
