Pre-amble: I will seek medical attention if needed.
I did a very tough running workout (only about 1hr long though) at the peak of the heat yesterday, got home, sat in front of a fan for half an hour and sipped 1.5 litres of electrolyte drink. I felt feverish and achey all over afterwards and took further steps to cool down and ensure that I am hydrated.
I still have a fever today despite total rest. I have a headache and general fever aches and pains still. I feel like I have the flu but with no other symptoms. Has this happened to any of you ladies and gents before? Heat exhaustion?

Sounds very much like heat exhaustion yeah.
I had it once when I was in year 7 in the Ardeche region. Cold shower and rest was what I was prescribed (INA doctor)

It's lupus

Or typhus. I've spent a bit of time wading around in flood water covered in horse fly bites recently (keeping any eye out for those symptoms!)
I just didnt expect to have a raised core temp coming up to 24 hours later.

I'm considering attempting to start my own brand of cycling jerseys based on an above average understanding of photoshop and the want for jerseys that look good but don't cost £90 (Hopefully around £40 retail). Should I even bother?

Do you actually have a temperature? If you do, and it lasts for more than a few days, go see a doctor.
Otherwise, HTFU.

I have found the perfect person to do your marketing:

Yes, it peaked last night but is gradually reducing throughout today.
If not feeling significant improvement or I experience a worsening of symptoms I'll go to docs.
Just took some Ibuprofen and I am feeling hot and not feverish/shivery for the first time since after the run! Its a weird sensation sitting in a hot flat and feeling freezing cold.
Thanks mate

Take a paracetamol if you have a temperature, rather than anti-inflamatories.
Sounds like heatstroke though.

Dan - try keeping yourself wet (euph) too, a cold wet towel on your core would do. As the surface water evaporates it'll take the heat with it.

Thanks mate. I'm going all out on the cooling. Check back in the morning for the do I have hypothermia question :D
In the last hour I have been feeling so much better.

Emotional support from the lads, it works wonders.

Oh Jim, why did you have to leave London. We could have been so special together.

I know, I miss you every day. I've not washed the last t-shirt that we hugged in, it's been nearly 3 years!?

After stripping down this frame, adding some nice 5700 bits, new cables and spending ages indexing, I noticed the cables were not passing through the down tube cable stops in a straight line.
So I unscrewed the stops and found that the square pieces were rotated on both sides. I can just about move them with my fingers.
What am I looking at here? Epoxy the square bits, new frame, or just tighten up the stops and live with it?

Shorten the outers a bit so that the cables find their own line which is a bit straighter. On those kinds of cheap aluminium frames, the stops are probably set into the frame like a riv-nut, pretty hard to fix once they get loose. It's worth trying to get some glue in there, but don't hold out too much hope of getting a secure and permanent bond.

Question regarding jerseys. Been trying a few different "aero" jerseys as I want something more form fitting. The problem is they all seem to have full length zips which bunch up and ruffle at my belly when sitting on the bike. Am I doing something wrong or is this inevitable with full length zips? So far I've tried castelli 4.0, 5.0 and sportful aero with no success.
have a look at the POC jerseys

if i did not have more than enough rapha kit, or needed some new clothing they would be on the top of my hit list, Sigma have them in stock

Thanks as always mdcc.
The frame wasn't exactly cheap when I bought it 15 years ago, but sentimentality keeps it on the road. -
