White cycling jerseys - do they get filthy under normal summer cycling conditions?
-
• #60904
my two lightweight jerseys (one coming on for five years old now, and maybe more grey than white and about to fall apart) and pro team jersey are fine. my white club kit however is awful, because it was dragged through a tandem drive train and along about 15 miles of french tarmac, in a bit of cycletouring washing line fail.

Does anyone need anything transporting between Manchester and London or back the other way on Saturday? I might have to make the trip and will move other stuff for a small charge to offset ticket prices.

Q
meeting a friend after work hours. he's in/ coming from canary wharf (non-cyclist). where's good for tapas style food IN THE SUN, that's near canary wharf, or london bridge, or holborn, or russell square, or highbury and islington? -

Balls, ok thanks. Supplementary question - why do they exist?
-
• #60914
I'd guess to keep costs down or to try and stop the cup getting stuck in the frame.
-

It's all about cost. There's usually a version with metal cups foe an extra couple of quid. In the aftermarket, you'd be an idiot to try to save a couple of quid, but to OEM buyers every cent matters.

To provide something at kicking height to stop men becoming too brave.

Ah I see. In that case, any idea where I can get a 110mm BSA BB that'll work with Stronglight 2000 cranks and doesn't have plastic cups?

Is self confidence possible without the judgement of others to establish parity or hopefully superiority?

Happiness only real when shared.
Into the Wild is a great film.

I have a Stronglight SBB-A for sale, but a UN55 will do the same job for less. Spa cycles usually have the metal version of the plastic Stronglight one fairly cheap, although I'd happily pay a fiver more for the Shimano.

what would be an appropriate location fee for a private building used for a couple of hours for an in-house promotional film?
