I've straightened plenty but I work on shitty bikes where it matters less, a bit of straightening is fine but get a new one if it's a little more than slightly bent, if it's snapped then I reckon a new one is probably the best option too.
They can be welded. Especially if you need the bike up and running the next day.

And have the tools and skills to weld shit.

Doesn't have to look pretty and as long as the weld has penetration, then attacked by an angle grinder to make it smooth ish.

How much? Pay per view?

Seems like the lynskey ones are made of cheese, have found a clone made by north shore billet, will take a couple of weeks to arrive.
Now need to decide between buying a new ultegra mech or using a battered MTB one.

There's a reason they're weak and feeble, it means they bend in a crash but your frame doesn't.

Thanks, Colin. I now have a great new excuse for being weak and feeble on the bike.

I just bought the gear and brake set in black. Similar to Nokon. The cable moves inside a PVC liner. This liner is black on the brake cables but annoyingly its white (opaque) on the gear set. I emailed Alligator and they basically said tuff titties. A quick google and a couple of emails to PVC tube manufactures and it is apparent that for that liner size (1.3mm I/D approx) is readily available in white (opaque) but nothing else.
Anyone have any experience with this? I really want black liners.

Really? I'd have chosen PTFE for that application.

Sorry it might be PTFE..

From other forums it appears the current lynskey ones are particularly fragile. Also on the lynskey website when I started typing the name of my frame ti to the search function, the autocomplete's first prompt was the link for the replacement hanger, not the frame itself, so I guess quite a few people have been searching for the same thing.

UMHW self-lubricates but would probably crease too much.
How bout fixing your cable routing and using proper outers?

Sharpie the liner (but it will probably just rub straight off again)
-
• #56771
Strange as it sounds Sharpie could be the answer.
Emyr, not sure what you mean. The liners run pretty the entire length from shifter to mech. Obviously they are exposed where they run along the down tube. Purely for aesthetcs the white bugs me, as the rest of the bike has bike has very black parts.

Can anyone recommend some headphones with the following features / characteristics:
Wireless
Loud & plenty of bass
Built in mic
Some sort of mute buttonI'm trying to kill two birds with one stone:
1) More freedom of movement when using the turbo
2) Something that I can take stupid late night work calls on (again while I'm on the turbo) -

I meant, would choosing a non-Nokon-style traditional outer open up more options for the liner?

Oh I see. Yeah possibly. But I've bought the Alligator i-link kit now so I guess its tough! It is very pretty though.
