^ Portobello road and its delights [markets, electric cinema] are in walking distance. Westfield if you like being subconsciously manipulated into parting with your hard earned cash. Museums around South Ken, take a stroll in Kensington Gardens (but don't get crushed by a tree). Holland Park is also nice. Skateboarder? Isn't there what used to be Bay66 for some ramps and stuff?
Question: Which is the least rubbish parcel courier? Need to ship some forks.
^ Cheers, went to portobello road for a bit and then to the churchill arms on another recommendation. The cookery class for the record was good but you have to regard it as the cost of a slightly poor service meal out in addition to the tuition to be worth the monies.
A: Cheapest on interparcel? I've had no problems with TNT or DHL

If you have the certificate number you should be able to check with one of the schemes that it is protected properly.
Thanks, I will do

Anyone got the Park Tools PSC-9 work stand?
Just bought one off chain reaction cycles and am surprised how wobbly it is - the diameter of the base where the vertical tube slots in is simply too wide, it's not sturdy at all, but all reviews I've read I can't see anyone else has the same issue. Will prob send it back for a replacement, just a bit of hassle as I'm based in NL so am wondering if they're all like this?
I've got it - there should be a little spring loaded nub at that bottom bit that secures the vertical tube, are you engaging that into the hole (like an umbrella?)
Otherwise it seems wrong, send it back., Technically they should probably pay return postage

Does anyone have a link to a test of 650c road tire rolling resistance (and maybe comparison to 700c as well)?

Is there a thread of places that do frame repairs?

Is it cheeky to copy and paste into a new thread?

look like it'll interfere with the gear cable
I've got one of those. As already mentioned, it fouls the cables on the downtube. In addition the ratchet mechanism doesn't let you clamp the bike tightly enough and the BB support erm... doesn't. Would not recommend.
Having used the stand on quite a few bikes, I've never had a gear cable issue. The clamp and bottom bracket mount have plenty of clearance for cables, as can be seen in the picture.
I do recommend and do use it.

Stick just threw my rear mech into the rear wheel on the lynskey commuto-x bike (its a lynskey 2013 cooper cx frame)
Who in the UK might have this hanger for sale
I hope I don't have to deal with Hotlines, their UK distributor as they tend to be useless. Lynskey's online ordering system does not seem capable of shipping to out side of americaland.

sadly no joy on BETD website
lynskey have responded to my emails already, so fingers crossed, but hoping not to have to pay extortionate shipping fees.

It looks like one I've seen on a poster at work but won't be back until next week, TBH it's probably a BETD poster.

Am surprised that I have taken the incident in good humour, possibly 3 hours of yoga beforehand left me well chilled.

bend it straight. Borrow a hanger alignment tool (unless you have one) and get a spare hanger for the future.
Those hangers can take a fair bit of manipulation -

Meh, those fuckers are designed to break. They can be straightened but you're better off getting a new one.

Hanger is snapped in two.
Rear mech mangled too, am considering using an old 9spd shimano Mtb mech with my DA7800 shifters, as far as I understand they use similar cable pull.

Plus rear wheel drive side spokes have a lot of gouges.
I had been planning to strip the bike down this week, just waiting for new cables to arrive.
I have new chainrings, cassette, chain, bar tape... Now looks like rear wheel will need a rebuild too, as not sure I'd be too happy with the spokes as they stand right now.
An expensive evening.

I've straightened plenty but I work on shitty bikes where it matters less, a bit of straightening is fine but get a new one if it's a little more than slightly bent, if it's snapped then I reckon a new one is probably the best option too.
