Shimano Ultegra 6700 for £199, yay or nay?
Nay. If you're looking for a tubeless bargain, RS61 for £178.

I've been asked to stay on at work and not bugger off and retire. Now the work computers have just been upgraded to Windows XP and I'm so excited. Anyone got any tips as to how to get working efficiently with it?

Just got XP installed?! No wonder they won't let you retire, its still 2001 at your workplace, you've still got years to go.

Use 'Classic' skin, it then looks almost identical to Win 2k so it's doesn't seem so scarily new.
Also, you only have 4 months to live

fastest/easiest way to determine erd on generic rims?
they're 20mm carbon clinchers.
I don't have spare spokes and nipples imidiately at hand, but string, rulers and vernier gauges are plentiful. -

Use the depth gauge of your Vernier caliper to measure how far below the bead seat you want the end of the spoke. The bead seat diameter is known, the rest is just arithmetic.

Is it really worth shelling out an extra 70-80 quid to get some sidi MTB shoes rather then £80 mavic's?
-
• #54992
I wouldn't, but my feet seem to love all shoes.

I'd say no, in my experience mavic were better than sidi...
Giro are nice too and similar fit to mavic but the soles wear out fast! ):

been looking at hub possibilities for my new build, anyone have any experience with the halo FIX G hubs? thinking about possibly going with the normal track hub but theres currently one of the FIX G ones on kinoko for £21 which although its not in my preferable colour seems silly to not get if its good, and i like the idea of being able to run 12t cogs, is it only halo i presume who make cogs for it?
^Never looked at sizez... I reckon you could breathe in....
