Fry into patties, that should help to prevent the water from the spuds migrating into the bread and making it soggy, as well as driving some off during the frying process. A good layer of butter as a sealing agent will help too. Add plenty of seasoning before frying, whatever takes your fancy from plain salt and pepper to various herb and spice mixes.

screw the bread. Put the mash in the sandwich box and take a spoon.

screw the bread.
Won't that make it rather soggy and a bit salty?
-
• #5380
dispense with the bread

mix with some onions, cheese, wrap in some ready roll pastry cook and you will have a cheesy pasty to take to work.

I've got the latest version of Microsoft Word, whichever it is - how do I achieve an accent over a letter? I can't find which menu it's under - on older versions I know how to bring up the characters menu, but I'm buggered if I can find it on this. Anyone know? I need to correctly spell Georg Lukacs, with an accent above the 'a'.
Press CTRL plus the respective characters below (including, of course, SHIFT if the character you want is the upper character on the key), then the letter you want (including, of course, SHIFT if the letter you want is the upper case letter):
' for an acute accent;
` for a grave accent;
^ for a circumflex accent;
, for a cédille;
& for German ß;
/ for characters like ø;
: for characters like ä.There are some other possibilities, but you get the idea. It's a very convenient system. OOo still doesn't have it.

No no no Max. Eating bread and potatoes is a complex and risky activity. You've done well in asking for advice but please whatever you do don't rush in to it. Perhaps it would be better for you not to attempt it until you have done a bit more research. It's potatoes and bread you are dealing with, it's not like handling high explosives where you can just chance your arm and no one really gets hurt if it goes wrong.
If I were you I would put the bread and the potatoes you have in separate containers for the time being. Preferably in different rooms. God knows how many lives have been lost because someone decided to make a potato sandwich on the spur of the moment without seeking out the specialised knowledge they needed to do it safely.
At the very least you need to draw up a thorough risk assessment. Then, when it has been adequately peer reviewed, you can consider your next move. Whether or not you will feel that you are able to combine potatoes and bread on your own or if you might like to call in an outside contractor with experience in the field will be up to you.
Sleep on it. Mull it over. Don't be rash.
Don't throw away your young life playing fast and loose with volatile carbohydrates. -

Left over mashed potato in sandwiches for work tomorrow.
Good idea?
I can imagine it all getting a bit gross in the bottom of my bag.
The sandwiches will be boxed of course, but still.Post it to yourself and have it for lunch on Thursday.

I believe he has to wait for the answer to reach the bottom of the page before he can read it.

You only gave half the answer. There was Pleasure Island (3 series) http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/series/31077, and also 1 series of Caribbean Uncovered http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/series/29815

Is there anywhere doing a fantastic deal on a Genesis Day One Alfine?
And further to that question should I get a Pompetamine Alfine instead?

And in addition to my two other questions: I have a number of sacks of broken bricks, what's the best way of getting rid of them?
Glue them back together and sell them as 'virtually unbroken' ?

Grind them into dust, then mix them with your porridge. Make sure you have a cracking flush in the dunnie first though.

Local tip.
Keep it warm and add flavour by storing it in your rectum.
