Cheers for answers.
The only BB I have to hand is the one in my Dolan. And the frame is a Rytchtarski Track, which by googling seem to be mostly Italian. So I am sticking with that conclusion.

Looks like both sides tighten clockwise, so most likely to be Italian.

And tester solves it right away, I found the BB form an old peugeot road frame (that I know is british) and it is very much too small. Thanks for the help.
Now to sort out an Italian bb and crankset. And thanks Regal and everyone else.

What happens to a Ninja if he is bitten by a zombie ?

The problem with older frames is that it's hard to find geometry info, so most of my searching so far has been restricted to modern models whose geometry charts are readily available.
Older frames have fairly standard geos, so it's easy to backsolve stack and reach from tt and st measurements and angles. I'm sure there's an applet like that stem angle one that will do it for you - BikeCad or similar.

What happens to a Ninja if he is bitten by a zombie ?
Bela Lugosi walks hand-in-hand down the aisle with Winston Churchill, both dressed in lilac suits missing lapels, with fat, useless Phil Jupitus as witness in a deserted Scarborough registry office. All are dead, especially the pair who already are. Jupitus knows his life is a poor imitation, so pity him mostly. The happy couple will be happy until they stop pretending. People will throw confetti and ignore each other until it's time for dinner.

What does tester actually test?
Paging tester.
-
• #51661
He tests on animals, mainly things like wooly jumpers on cats, tights on dogs, things like that. Not a job or anything, more of a hobby.

Colnago Street:
http://www.totalcycling.com/a-z/forks_road/FK_STREET.htmlCeeway can supply the Columbus Minimal in 1":
http://ceeway.com/carbon%20forks.htmI don't think EC90 forks are made in 1" anymore, they're near impossible to find.

I think the Cycle Surgery in Highbury had a pair of EC90s in 1" left over from when they did stock them, might be worth phoning to see if it's still there.
Otherwise, Columbus Minimal as suggested are really nice.
yup, plus Italian threads are 36mm vs. 1.370" (34.8mm) for BSC so if you offer up a BSC NDS cup to an Italian shell it will be very obviously loose, even though the thread handing and pitch is the same; conversely, an Italian cup offered up to a BSC shell will be very obviously too big.
The chance that it is neither BSC nor Italian is very small
