  • i have found them reliable in the past, i take it your experience is different?

  • ^^^Legally speaking the "at least 20% off" offer will only apply to helmets included in the sale, not all helmets. Poor style, but there you go...

  • when you click on the sale link that helmet is on the list

  • They've never, ever had anything I've ever ordered, and they've never told me that whatever it was was out of stock- I've had to email them as the days march past, at which point they say "oh yeah, yeah- we haven't got any of those, we don't know when we will, but we'll send you yours if and when we get any".

    Cunts, total cunts.

  • "When you click on the sale link that helmet is on the list."

In which case they must honour the offer*. If Dammit's experience is anything to go by I would take my business elsewhere regardless.

    *Subject to availability.

  • Cranks- what would you put on a 1999 road bike and why?

  • Depends on the period correct BB. Shurely?

  • Or pedals.

  • BSA BB shell, pedals I'm not sure of- ignore them for now.

  • One of these bad boys. Not a particularly interesting answer I know.

  • Zipp Vumaquad

  • I have no idea.

  • "Cranks- what would you put on a 1999 road bike and why?"

The opportunities are endless, but personally I would try this.

    Why? Italians does it better...

  • Theres an option for 55mm or 70mm brake pads here, why? Does it matter and should I get what length I already have?

  • [Record Titanium 1999]

    this

    and we have consensus.

My Red cranks make a similar click at each pedal stroke...hmmm

  • Assuming no, but don't know for sure as sizes look similar,

    I have forks for a 650. Can I ride a 26 wheel on the front instead of a 650? Reason for asking= cant find a cheap 650

  • 650C rims are 571mm, 26" MTB are 559mm. You'd need an extra 6mm of brake drop to make a 26" usable, and if you didn't fatten up the tyre to compensate you'd be dropping the front end by 6mm, which steepens your angles by less than a degree and cuts the trail a bit.

tl;dr - it will probably be OK

I can't work it out at all...
    Anymore ideas anyone?

  • What do you guys think of this frame? http://www.kinokocycles.com/track-bikes/rush-track-frame-1.html

    How much does it weigh?

    1.8kg apparently

  • and we have consensus.

A consensus that would mean Campag shifters, which I don't get on with.

I should probably clarify- cranks that are not groupset specific.

  • sram red 2012 levers (the type that go with the YAW FD) can I use a sram force 22 YAW FD?

  • cranks that are not groupset specific.

That would be pretty much all of them, then. Chainline and chainring spacing varies very little between road cranks, most of them will work fine with most front dérailleurs of similar vintage.
