I would like to get a DAB radio, and also have some way of improving the sound from my laptop/iPod/phone. Is it daft to expect to find a product that will combine those for less than £50, or should I get a cheaper DAB and good speakers/headphones?
If the former, is this one likely to have decent sound?

If the latter, does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap DAB radio, and a set of speakers, which together would come to £50-60?
I don't know anything about speakers I'm afraid but I have a Pure dab radio this one and the sound quality is good.

Wasn't some politician, or someone noteworthy, embarrassingly caught out recently because they went into a school and hadn't been CRB checked?
Does anyone remember the story and have a link?

SNP leader Alex Salmond.

This is absolutely ridicules. Why don't we CRB check everyone weekly, introduce mandatory biometric identity cards and CCTV monitor everyone's homes while we're at it? Universal phone tapping and monitoring all internet activity is already in
placeprogress, as is governmental control with web content and accessibility. Censorship and monitoring private individuals as standard is clearly in the public interest, and surely you wouldn't mind being watched, unless of course you've got something to hide... -

^ CRB checks for people who are working with children isn't quite the same thing, though, is it?
-
• #50258
No it isn't. I was referring to the "Alex Salmond Scandal" and perhaps got a little carried away.

Any difference between these?
Look very similar, both look to have tension adjustment, named slightly different....

TL;dr
same pedal, different box -

TL;dr
different pedal, different boxno tension adjustment
So the old (slightly more expensive in sale) ones are superior.
Thanks though, I was looking for that discussion but somehow missed it.

neither has adjustment, it's the same pedal, neither are superior, one is cheaper, time rebranded the enire range for 2013, roc became xc2

Thank you.

I thought roc has tension adjustment?
what is the screw for?
http://www.wigglestatic.com/product-media/5360080191/xc2.JPG?w=1100&h=1100&a=7both have them in the photos, what do they do?
-
• #50265
to be honest, I thought they did but indra said no and I could not be arsed to check, yes they both have adjustment. As you can see they added some dye to the plastic, they did this across the range as well, some are black some are grey and some are white.
-
• #50266
So do you know or not? You say they have adjustment, pictures show they have, Indra says he ordered a pair and they don't have the adjustment...
-
• #50267
I think they have adjustments.
-
• #50268
But only the white ones?
-
• #50269
Hm, I think some of the early pictures of the XC2 might have been a bit misleading - they definitely don't have tension adjustment here: http://www.artscyclery.com/descpage-TMAXC2.html
Product blurb backs that up. Whereas the XC4s definitely have the adjustment screw.

• #50270
But the rocs haz?
-
• #50271
Why do some dérailleurs not mark the H & L screws?

Pure spite.

most byke ohners ar testars innit
-
• #50274
Guys there is no adjustment!
I know, I have a pair sitting right in front of me, the screw exists only in pictures, the actual pedals just have a solid rivet.
-
• #50275
I believe that having seen the link, I want to know if the older Rocs haz adjust.
Had you considered a bike fit?
