Cassettes, tiagra vs 105, how much difference is there other than weight?

We thought we had it bad because student loans had just come in, and grants had reduced by 50%. Turns out we had it easy. And our parents had the easiest life ever.
This. I didn't even get a grant.

Any difference between these?
Look very similar, both look to have tension adjustment, named slightly different....

Aren't the cheaper ones a bit lighter and more expensive?
Sorry, not that helpful. I think one is just the previous model.
EDIT: that's probably not correct as the image of the "Time XC2 Cross Country" is showing elsewhere as the '13 model. I'll bow out of this one I think.

Same pedal - just pre- and post- rebrand from Roc ATAC to XC2.

Is Pro made by Shimano?
Not exactly. Most of it is made in Taiwan by the same people who make everything else, but it is all selected by Shimano (originally Shimano Benelux BV, but I think the head office sticks its oar in now), some of the stuff is specifically designed by/for Shimano and the wheels have Shimano hubs made by Shimano in Shimano factories.

Do we know if there is any difference in quality? People were saying Time quality has deteriorated recently on other models....

Don't know personally, I've owned three or four sets of the Rocs but none of the new ones yet.

Hi all, this is a question for the architects / engineers / CAD people on here...
I have an old folder of PLT files from a previous job. Files have been created with Autocad. I have some of the original CAD files, but not all the ctb files, and it would be too much work anyway. Is there any way of batch printing the PLT files into a PDF? I tried using the printfile application but it failed...
Any ideas please?

I wouldn't think so. When the builder do not use a specific end piece at the end of the stay to connect to the seat cluster (don't remember the name of that part...) then the stay is cut and filled with a little plate. Here is seems that the plate is coming off, but I would be surprised if it was structural... This is something that Barry Witcomb explained to me once when he repaired my Dave Russel, around the same area.Of course show your bike to a professionnal for peace of mind!

Sram Apex BB squeak!
It's on the drive-side.
I've re-fitted (re-greased and re-torqued).
It vanishes for about 50km if I squirt GT85 between the crankarm and spindle – so I guess it's the rubber seals making the sound?
So if teaching yourself is so great, why were you asking me about stuff. Maybe you shouldn't have chosen a shit University.
