  • No.

  • Wait, you have a limo? How many seats? Spa and bar or just bar?

  • cheapest/fastest way to get a pair of rims from New Malden to the West End tomorrow?

  • Strap them to your back and then strap yourself to a small home-built rocket. What could go wrong?

  • not good at bondage

  • Have someone else do the knots - that's the bit I always struggled with.

  • Train from New Malden to Waterloo 24 mins, then Northern Line to Leicester Sq, another 4 mins, should be doable in 45 mins, depending where your start and end are.

    12 miles by bike.

  • Under BB cable guides for geared bikes...

The frame has one threaded hole, central on the BB shell to screw a guide on. Which guide should I get? ^ This one has two holes. Does it matter?

I've fitted both front and rear derailleurs.

  • How tall are you? I'm got the M type as the handlebars are slightly higher

    6'1"

You only need one bolt in it.

Use the other for a drain hole. #kinky #noreallyit'sagoodidea

1 seat, as many as you can hold while strapped in and willing to let someone else pedal you around London.

  • ^^ fair enough. It'll be ok offset to one side?

    The frame's already got a BB cutout for italian-style practical-drainage-reasons wasps-to-nest.

    Merinthophobe?

  • Has anyone got a 144 PCD chainring, smaller than 44 teeth, that I could borrow on Monday to try out a different ratio on my SSCX bike?

Alternatively, does anyone know where I might be able to buy such a thing in London tomorrow?

I've got a 42 tooth goldtec at home. I'll need to find chainring tool.

Let me know if you still need it.

Many of them, like the Campagnolo one have one bolt and a slot so you can adjust the horizontal position of the guides.

  • Does anyone here have tips for fenders?

I got a fixed for pub rides. White frame with green lugs, alu track drops and white grips. metal style wheels. Something that stays on the bike and looks clean /retro. So no ass savers, fender benders, raceblades etc.

I also would like to have a clean looking chainguard.

    P.s. I'd prefer cheap

    • unless you meant fenders...
  • is there a difference?

Can't find a single nice looking retro fender in that topic.

Any tips on how to get a nice clean chain guard (pants protection only so only the front should do the trick).

  • Yup, basically to keep the weight down, but IMHO singlespeed would be a better idea (and cheaper) as you're likely to never use both gear.

    Nonsense.
I use both gears on my 2 speed all the time. With the limited inertia from the small wheels it's nice to drop into the low gear to accelerate quickly. Especially if you're carrying a load. For the small extra cost and weight it's a no-brainer.

  • Best person to speak to about Rolla membership?

Paid a few weeks ago, but I was waiting for a further email

I may have totally missed it but thought I'd ask on 'ere

  • try rapsac

They make fun of the name, yet calling it a mudguard is no less a joke; try using one going through real mud. I would suggest fender is better because it fends more than one thing off, whether it be water, a little bit of mud or the odd piece of shit.
Regardless, I'm still wrapping my head around white frame, green lugs and metal style wheels.
