my question: which is the correct adjective: "transformative" or "transformational"?
To describe an experience that one found profoundly life altering.
Both sound wank to me(...)
horatio, can you think of a better adjective? I'm very much open to suggestions
life changing

looks very similar in functionality. Will it lie and tell me that I've gone "fucking miles" and "smashed it"?
Even better, it'll tell you that you're faster up a hill than BMMF and 6pt.

Driveside dropout welding looks dodge viper...
very much so, end of chainstay looks like moulded plasticine.
I looked again and its not a pug afterall as I see the bottom bracket is welded which kinda proves its not 531 although he states that he doesnt know what the frame material is anyway. -

What was the question?
-
• #4819
so, the law is to have two ways of braking, wether that be a fixed sprocket and brake or two brakes or a coaster brake plus brake etc...
but i was thinking, how can bike shops like evans sell otp bmx's and fixed gears with less than the required number of brakes?
for example: in evans i have seen wethepeople bmx's being sold with one brake and brakeless (i realise this is standard for a bmx, i ride my bmx with one brake) and a while ago i saw the 09(grey coloured) fuji track being sold brakeless.
is this against the law? -
• #4820
the fuji track is meant for the track
-
• #4821
yeah fair enough, what about bmxs though?
and fixed gears like the pk ripper?
they were being sold otp brakeless. -
• #4822
See http://www.ctc.org.uk/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabID=4072
If it's sold as a track bike, the shop can't really exert any control over twats who then ride it on the road. BMX might well get through on the exemption for children's bikes.
-
• #4823
i am guessing but you can probably sell them, but not not "supposed" to be used on the road
-
• #4824
yeah, i was pretty sure they were using certain laws to get around it and not just selling illegally set up bikes.
cheers. -

They have a sticker on them which says it is illegal to ride them on the roads. Bike shops can sell a track bike for the track, not their fault if it is ridden on the road. I think they should all be informing people how dangerous it is to do so, in my opinion.
I did an article recently on brake law, and I remember that there is an exemption on childrens' bikes based on height. BMXs may fall into this category. If not, they can be similarly sold as for use in bike parks, I would imagine.
