  • (Probably not 2b)

  • Hi guys,

there is a bike shop near my house and the bike shop guy is selling an old Peugeot frame.
he's selling it for £20 but i think it cost much more. should i buy it?
it looks like this.. ish, not completely.

  • check if the seat tube has a sticker with the number 531, or maybe in the down tube, close to the headtube.

if the sticker says Carbolite, I personally will not buy it, if its says 531 take it, it is a bargain

  • thanks for getting back to me.

so if it does say 531 how much do you think it's worth? i don't want to waste money you see.

  • Its got 531 stickers all over it.

  • i don't know, i'll check tomorrow?

i just want to know if i will be wasting my time with it?

  • You can see them in the photos... look at the fork. Same one appears to be on the downtube, but its a bit fucked. Certainly looks like it though.

  • thanks guys, i'll just get it.

anyone know how much i should be expecting from it or should i just use it?
also, what does the 531 mean? does it mean the frame is stronger and lighter?

  • also, what does the 531 mean? does it mean the frame is stronger and lighter?

    Lighter than this, yes.

  • UTFS.

    olcl.

  • has anyone been to bfi imax before? is it really shit getting seats near the front?

  • Nope. Even the front seats are still a fair way back and quite high up so it's generally good views all around unless you're on one of the side aisles. Definitely worth a visit.

  • merci

  • The only seats that aren't that great are the ones waaay on the edges nearer the front. But all the seats are pretty good.

Does anybody know when schools go back in Jan?

  • even front row?

  • I haven't sat on the front row, but I've sat very close to it and it was fine. Worth noting that I don't like being close to the screen and will always sit in the last 3rd.

It's quite cool, because you're high up when the shots are in full imax mode you almost have a drop in front of you. I watched the last batman, and there was a wicked skyscraper scene, where I almost got vertigo.

  • me too, cheers. i think it's different for different schools, but usually round 2nd week of jan

  • hhmmm... internet is no help.

Those with babies at my mums office don't really know (I guess because their wives deal with those sort of things).

Their best efforts have been 4th and 10th.

i'm trying to plan a snowboarding holiday and just want to avoid the peak prices.

  • Does anybody know when schools go back in Jan?

    5th onwards round our way

  • Cheap, reasonably priced computer type thing that I can use on a turbo (I'm guessing wireless would be right for the rear wheel?).

    I've found this

    http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ebwPNLqrymode.a4p?f_ProductID=12932&f_FullProductVersion=1&f_SupersetQRY=Krevolution%20computer&f_SortOrderID=-1&f_bct=

    anything better?

  • I had a wireless computer (this was 5 or 6 years ago) for a turbo once. Had to take it back and swap as distance was too far.

  • What? You maxed it out after an hour of riding?

  • Yes. Well, I kicked the crank and sat down on watched TV. It kept spinning though. Does that count?

  • You didn't set the turbo to a proper resistance then.

Think of your stats man. Think of your stats.
