Anyone know if I'll have to redish if I buy a front disc wheel to use as a rear fixed wheel after I've sorted out the spacing?

I need to buy some paint for a client so that they have a wall in their office that matches their corporate colour. They have given me a pantone colour, 2995 C, does anyone know what paint colour may match. I cannot find a matching RAL colour, the nearest is RAL 5012, but the client doesn't think this is close enough.
Google is not really helping me with this.
Many thanks in advance.
Not sure what colour rating system is used for paint colours but the CMYK code for that is 90 11 0 0 (although it may not be an exact match).
Have a look here for others: http://www.lcipaper.com/kb/the-ultimate-color-conversion-chart-pms-cmyk-rgb-hex.html

If you don't re-dish, the mounting face will be 40mm off centre, which gives a 41.6mm chainline with a ⅛" bolt-on sprocket. If you want a much wider chainline, e.g. to match and MTB chainset, it's worth moving the whole hub sideways as you can then have a stronger dishless wheel, see my tandem for an example.

Whats a good cassette and chainring combo for a 1x9 26" wheeled bike to be used for a bit of everything.
I have a 34t cog on the front at the mo, should I be looking for 11-12ish on the back? -

11-32 would give you a good range on everything.

Locking up at Paddington over the weekend.
Worth the effort / risk?
I'll be using a NY Fahg and a cable lock.Anyone have a cable lock I can borrow for the weekend?
Paddington - inside is a "new" bike parking area which should be safe.
And I do have one you can borrow, I'm at paddo...

I've got a Kryptonite chain you could pick up from LMNH on Friday- heavy old beast though, and from what Mands says quite possibly overkill.

Nah, looked at a specialist travel vaccination place and it looks like it'll cost us a few hundred pounds each... We're only gonna be there for three days in total so hardly worth it...
We may have to fly straight through...
That's way over the odds.
What are they recommending? I used to go KL regularly and my folks spend half the year out there.
I normally just make sure hep A and Typhoid up to date.

Does anyone use one of these wifi broadband providers, like BT Wifi? I live in rotherhithe in a development that gets shockingly shite internet, and im sick to death of it. Currently with Be broadband, getting 1.5Mbs and its always dropping. Im trying to figure out if I have alternatives. No one provides fibre to us :(

Have you actually tried talking to Be tech support? Have they confirmed that 1.5Mbs is the speed you should be getting?

Rotherhithe will never get above 1.5 Mbps - all of the telecoms infrastructure is built with aluminium cabling (to save costs), and has a stupidly long loop from the local exchange in Bermondsey.Shitty wires over 6 miles long lead to utterly bollocks speeds.
There are no alternatives, other than satellite, which is bonkers expensive.

I doubt it'll be cheap if you want to use a lot of data, but it'll be faster (I can get upwards of 30mbs on my phone).

Yeah, I was quoted 2.0Mbs, but actually get 1.5Mbs. I can tolerate that if the connection was at least reliable. I've been on the phone with their tech guys nearly every day for the last two months, doing the same crap over and over. It doesn't take long until the connection starts dropping again. Makes me think its to do with the whole Sky buying them out, bringing their shitty service with them

Have them drop you to a 1Mbps line - it will at least mean a stable connection.
(As in - I had / have a 1Mbps line, and it is stable - YMMV)
You'll likely be using BT kit in any case, so it makes no difference who your provider is, other than level of aftercare.

^They tried that, same story. They sent me a new router, internet was good for about 2 weeks and now its gone crap again. Its one of they're Bebox's, technicolour makes them I believe.

I'll have a peak at my settings and see what they are - you may have some luck there. Won't be for a week or two though.

or, if you're willing to pay more, look at going for someone like Arnold and Andrews or Zen, who are good at getting things working as well as they can.
