  • It's a 54cm, AKA medium, you would look like a bloody clown.

If you're unsure of the sizing, please go to a LBS and test ride bicycle that's your size and felt "right" to ride before even committed on buying a second hand bicycle.

  • top tube of 54cm would be for someone up to 5'10' normally - so way too small

  • Don't listen to these clowns ^, ^^, ^^^, it'll fit you perfectly.

  • My question, should I seek bike sizing advice from people on internet forums?

  • ^depends, what's your inseam measurement

if you don't know it post a pic and we'll be able to tell you.

  • My question, should I seek bike sizing advice from people on internet forums?

Hell yes. And you should go with whatever the very first response suggests, to avoid any confusion.

    40 x 98 x 5 seems about right for you.

  • Don't listen to andyp, he's one of those "racer" that doesn't even have a power meter on his cranks, I mean, what the actual fuck? we all know proper racer have them on their bike to make them go faster.

  • That's a shame, nice looking starter road bike, for th right sized person, I've been looking for something for the summer, although ordered a frame, for a single speed build should finish that then see what about really,

  • I'll take Ed's advice & go test ride something then have a look about

  • You're a braver man than I

  • ^ lol

  • ebay seller charges £25 for postage, sends in re-used box and it costs £9.50 - make a fuss for £15 or get over it? (item was £795)

  • make a fuss

  • Get over it. Tape isn't free, driving to the post office isn't free. Also, you agreed to the terms.

  • Thought as much, tester.

Another quick one - an ebay buyer bought my SLX01 frame (56cm) is now saying 'BMC 56cm is more like a normal 58cm and will be too big for me'... 1. is it as easy as that for him to say i don't want it anymore, and 2. is that sizing statement remotely correct?

  • They bought it. Their problem.

If they really don't want it then they should reimburse you with the ebay fees.

  • Send him a message saying 'caveat emptor'.

  • an ebay buyer bought my SLX01 frame (56cm) is now saying 'BMC 56cm is more like a normal 58cm and will be too big for me'

And BMC's geometry charts are held in a secret cave in Switzerland guarded by Ninjas? Tell him to fuck off.

  • 'caveat emptor'.

    fuck off.

Simultaneous translation from Latin to English - another LFGSS feature you may not have known about

  • a secret cave linked to in the item description no less!

  • Use your local bike shop whenever you can guys; everything considered it'll generally pays off in the long run.

  • Why has this not sold ? Any ideas?

The picture is not good enough, makes the bike look all kinds of ugly.

    Bar angle is off

Also, red tyres on a celeste frame?

  • That's more about anti porn than selling Indra boy.

  • That's more about anti pork than selling Indra boy.

    [Casually racist post]

  • That's more about anti pork than selling Indra boy.

Not really, it's a lot easier to sell a bike if you showcase it well.

Would you buy from a shop that didn't set a bike up well and don't even include the whole thing in the single poor shot?

    I know I sure as hell wouldn't.
