  • Check Pearson Hanzo, they still have some large one, but I think the headtube length is a little on the big size for what you want.

    Frame-only?

  • The 1kW is good for winter use, since 80% of it is emitted in the IR range so it keeps you warm too. If you want more light than heat, get fluorescent or LED lamp heads.

I like the idea of them acting as heaters very much..

  • Bolt on sprockets started as a retrofit to front hubs. Manufacturers have since seen the market for them so start coining in.

As with DA-10 unless people can see a big difference then they won't change. The different shapes of splines means nothing to most people who use them.

  • Also, bolt on works really well for a monoblock aluminium hub shell, whereas we've all seen what a bad idea steel sprockets on aluminium splined carriers are, see Shimano's change to Ti cassette rotors on DuraAce mid-cycle; FH-7800 and wheelsets based on it had aluminium rotors which lasted a very short time (both in service and in the catalogue) before being replaced by FH-7850/WH-7850

  • The Miche system could quickly be adapted to use a circlip. Anyway, get back to my stuff.. I need something to ride that doesn't require a rebuild every month.

  • Would you like a surly pacer?

  • The Miche system could quickly be adapted to use a circlip.

    It couldn't, and shouldn't.

Couldn't, because without a reverse threaded lockring, it will try to wind the carrier off the hub, putting a very large axial load on the retaining circlip. Their isn't room to lock the carrier into place and add a circlip retained in a groove in the carrier.

Shouldn't, because whatever you do with it the torque is still being transmitted through the 1.370"x24 thread, which is where the fundamental problem lies.

  • Shit thread.>>>>>>>>>..

  • Probably only reamed down a short length. They're from the era of the fluted Campag posts which were quite short

Thats a similar seatpost to whts in there atm, any idea if i can get this fixed in london?

  • Find a shop with seat tube reaming tools, or much filing with a long file.

  • Frame builder will probably be a better bet.

  • What would be stiffer, an early specialized tri spoke clincher, or a mavic 3g? And are weight limits all that important (for disc wheels)? (75kg limit, 85-90kg self)

  • Would you like a surly pacer?

Me? Not sure how it would differ from the Kinesis. Vert. dropouts?

I forgot they are actually a thread on carrier and not a solid piece. It has been many years since I owned one. Anyway I still think the circlip idea is shit and in 100 years we'll still be using thread-on cogs.

  • Ask Scoble, he always has the best advice about what to do with alliums

Inter alia pieces of excellent advice.

  • Me? Not sure how it would differ from the Kinesis. Vert. dropouts?

Probably not very different, I just need to get round to selling it.

  • What size it be?

  • in 100 years we'll still be using thread-on cogs.

Easton, White Industries, Sugino and Halo have all tried splines, and 6-bolt is gaining ground. Against that, track racers are astonishingly conservative when it comes to equipment, so you're probably right.

  • When my hoverboard goes in for it's 50k service I'll be swapping out the screw-ons for bolt-ons. Those hovertrackies won't know what's hit 'em.

  • Have you done any calculations to see what sort of length frame you'd need in order to avoid toe-overlap with midfoot/28c/mudguards?

  • Frame-only?

    £229.

    The Alu Pearson cost a bit more but it have a reasonable headtube length and a normal geo (Hanzo seemed to have a rather slack headtube for some reason);

  • 56, it's basically this but with sks guards and a rack.

  • Two questions about my pedal

firstly where can i get a new end cap?

Secondly i noticed that that adjustor screw thing seems to be sticking out a fair old bit and the spring next to it is loose, should i be worried?

  • would anybody who is not a cunt wear these?

  • Anyone on here qualified to give singing lessons or know someone who is? I'm happy to trade for cash monies and/or bike servicing
