  • Do you mean the sleeve in the middle between the cups? You'd probably be looking at custom fabrication. I did one in aluminium once, to be worthwhile it needs to incorporate o-rings to seal it.

    LAN plugs are great. Dead easy plug and play, but only work on the same circuit in the house. If you're trying to get a signal from upstairs to downstairs, they won't work.

    Did for me. It just depends how the place is wired up I guess.

  • Apparently they don't like going through consumer units. So if your up and downstairs sockets are on the same ring then it'll work.

    You can use a lockring that is on the same thread as cog.
