Can anyone recommend a free dvd ripper? I want convert some to avi and don't know which free programmes are any good.
-
• #38111
HandBrake. Best there is.
Or the transcoding section of VLC. -
• #38112
Super is also good for converting. Dunno if it can rip though.

what the hell are those Hope fixed thread protector covers called? the ones that screw onto the unused side of a fix/fix hub if you're only running one cog?

Do cinelli crits have a clamp diameter of 26.4? And if so, why aren't they a standard size?
-
• #38119
Some are 26.4 and later ones are 26.0... 26.4 was standard for Cinelli.
-
• #38120
Damn. Ok, thanks.
-
• #38121
Why damn?
-
• #38122
If the bars are 26.4, then so is the stem. And I was hoping to get some bars with less reach/drop. But I didn't want to have to get another stem...
-
• #38123
I sneaked spatr bars into a 26.4 alright... and to be on the safe side you could use a little shim.
-
• #38124
I might try it. Any way that a stem can get damaged using a shim?
-
• #38125
More likely to damage it without a shim.
A bit of a coke can will do it, or a bit of a soup can which is thicker... I use kitchen scissors like these innit...
Alcohol can be fun, or a substitute for it.
