  • No. I fell earlier and it hurt

  • Hence the helmet?

  • he could have just as easily been hurt with a helmet...

    Helmet propaganda thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Should have sold it to a bigger head, you've destroyed any potential value it may have had for collectors.

  • Trillions upon trillions of pounds. All sliproads would be on the wrong sides, all signs would be wrong even road markings would be out of touch. It'd be hell.

The markings and the signs, yes but most of the slip roads will be reasonably symmetrical.

  • and the signs just need to be change of location, no need for new ones...

  • Then you have all the traffic light roundabouts that will need changing.

  • no then, you will have to change all the traffic light, is part of the operation

  • I can't wait for the queen to die so suddenly all our coins are out of date.

Coins bearing the image of deceased monarchs are not out of date, they are just old. Until the madness of decimalisation, it was still fairly common to find Queen Vic pennies in your change. I still have a 1910 Edward VII penny which was legal tender until 1971, and shillings and florins stayed in circulation as equivalents of the new 5p and 10p coins until the early 90s.

  • Ah, good old shillings and florins! Them were the days!

  • Where can I buy a set of mini v brakes in london tomorrow?

  • I will try Bycicle Magic, and the two big stores in Whitechapel. I think they are Cycle Surgery and Evans, but not sure.
    Brixton Cycles.

  • Yeah, tried evans and CC today. As well as not having them in stock, evans told me they didn't exist. Helpful.

    Cheers, I'll look them up.

  • holloway cycles, Mosquito

  • Cavendish?

  • Bicycle Magic have closed.

  • really? that´s a shame, they were great

  • yeah I know. Real shame.

  • Cavendish?

    Nope, they have none either.

  • One solution is that I don't get the axle snug in the drop outs - if I "hang" the axle mid way in the drop outs then everything fits (just)

So, how safe, or otherwise is this? Am I likely to kill my daughter?

Otherwise. Yes. When it slips, the tyre jams against the fork locking the wheel and flipping her over onto her head. Front wheels are serious business.

I think you've bought the wrong fork, but before you decide whether to replace the fork or the tyres, first check whether the rear fits ok and whether you can make the front brake pads line up with the rim with no tyre.

  • cake is such a hipster he probably has a bmx with silly spinny gear, or will borrow a polo bike
