How do these work? What cleats do they take? http://www.evanscycles.com/products/time/speed-pedals-ec029348

Yep
These use the RXE or RXS cleats and are therefore not compatible with ATAC cleats.

Be aware that the front of the pedal can snap off.
I had some and did not get on with them very well.
I've never spent as long trying to get into a pedal as I did with them.

Where can I get a dia compe track brake in silver? Active sport says they have them, then cancelled my order stating they can't get any till July.

Wasn't necessarily planning to buy them, had just never seen them before and was confused by the setup.
I am in a quandary as I am waiting to get my bike back from Ryan and have everything but the surety of pedals/shoes. Eryn at Pretorius wants me to go with road shoes so she can stack one side to offset a leg length discrepancy. I bought a pair of secondhand Sidis off eBay for a good price but they're like, a quarter size too small. I have a pair of Speedplays I can go for but I am scheduled for the finishing bike setup with Pretorius on the 26th and will have very little time to decide if the Speedplays work for me before going in.
I don't want to have to pay 50 pounds to set up another pair of cleats. Which means I either have to fork out at least 140 pounds on a pair of Sidis, NOW, or have her set up the too-small Sidis and tell me what to do to set up the cleats on the next pair.

Get a new pair of Sidis and use the Speedplays. There's not much point bodging an integral part of a bike fit just to save a few quid. IMHO anyway.

Advice wanted, whenever I ride my road bike lately, even for short periods (15min+) my feet start to go numb and achy. If I continue it becomes unbearable! What am I doing wrong? I have played around with saddle position and cleat position, and different shoes but nothing helps!

Trouser clips too tight?
You can get them fitted at your local farrier, or blacksmith at a push.

How did I not think of that?! Tester saves the day!

~~accidentally deleted all the printers off my mac :/
idiot's guide to restoring them? I have one connected by USB but in the System Prefs when I go to Add printer, it can't "see" it to add...argh.~~

Wedding present - any suggestions and how much to spend?
Need it for today so mail order will not work.
Kittens. Everyone loves kittens. They're like kids but cuter and less noisy/shitty.

Has anyone ever shipped a frame to Japan? any idea how much it may cost?
-
• #30647
Based on shipping other large/heavy items to Japan when I moved, the answer is 'too much'. Ended up with DHL in the end but was EXPENSIVE especially with insurance.
Bizarrely, shipping stuff from Japan is cheap as hell...

I agree. And I just had a bit of work that gives me enough moolah so I don't feel too bad about it.

Could it be Swains Lane?
That'll be the one. I'd heard it mentioned on here. Looks like one of London's biggest hills. Shame I'm not up north much.

Also, new question: I need to drill out a pair of stuck SPD cleats from my Sidis. I'd leave them be as there's loads of wear left, but I need to nudge one forward a bit. What size bit do I go for? Presumably you use one that takes out the meat of the bolt, but leaves the threads intact on the recessed nut? Anyone know what this sweet spot is for SPD cleat bolts? The MTB ones...
^this you can never have too many beach towels.
